Year 1 - chapter 1

Y/N's pov

I've double checked and triple checked my luggage and I'm super excited to go. I'm off to hogwarts tomorrow, and i hope i meet nice people and get into slytherin. I have no idea how my parents would react if i didn't.  

I'm currently fiddling around with my wand, testing and experimenting with spells my parents have taught me. So far, I can unlock doors, repair things, do my hair, light the tip of my wand, levitate things and severe things. 

I think i'm quite good, if you ask me. 

I'm so so so excited to learn more though. I'm most excited about Defence Against the Dark Arts and Potions, because i've always been interested in them. plus, our household practically revolves around the dark arts, and my parents are also amazing at potions. 

My parents work at the ministry, and they earn a lot of money. they're big people in the ministry. But sometimes, i just wish they would spare a minute to hang out with me. play something.

Instead, all they've given me is money, clothes, books, and toys. I don't even need the money, i don't really use it. the house elves take care of me, and by now, i'm used to it. I've stopped complaining about how my parents don't hang out with me anymore. I'm used to the house being quite and i'm used to sitting in my room all day, just reading or playing with myself. But if someone asked me how i was truly feeing, I would have so much to say. 

since i'm leaving for hogwarts tomorrow, i'll get ready and sleep. IM SO EXCITED. Just hope that everything turns out ok.
