Riley's POV
Tired and just a little grumpy, I walk behind Alison who is looking at every single thing in Target. She doesn't seem to know what she is looking for and just walks around aimlessly.
'Are you almost done?' I complain. 'My feet hurt and I'm about to sit down and fall asleep'
'Hey, it was your idea to go somewhere. We'll go to starbucks after this. I think I'm going to get some of those cute pillows for my mom, it's almost her birthday and she will kill me if I'd forget to give her a present' Alison rolls her eyes.
I nod.
It takes another 20 minutes before Alison decides which pillows to pick, but when she's finally done, she pays for them and we head over to starbucks.
When our drinks are ready, we take them and walk to the nearest park to drink them. It's so boring to sit inside and a waste this beautiful day. It's warm, sunny and you can feel that summer is almost here.
Alison pulls her phone out of her purse to take some pictures of the pond and some trees. I want to do the same when suddenly I see an incoming text on my phone.
'Would you like to come to our show tonight? You can bring a friend if you want to. I'll text you the rest of the things you should know later on'
I want to scream but not a single sound is coming from my lips. I stare at the screen with the biggest grin ever on my face.
Alison turns around to show me the pictures she made when she suddenly sees the grin on my face.
'Wow, what's up?' She asks.
I don't say anything, but just give her my phone.
'What?' Alison covers her mouth with her hand after she has read the text. 'That is so cool!' She yells.
'I know right!' I scream.
Some people in the park are staring at us but I don't care anymore. I'm going to see Luke again!
'So who are you taking with you tonight?' Alison asks with a grin.
'Are you kidding? You still have to ask that?' I laugh. Alison smiles.
So we just sit there in silence for a minute or so, staring at my phone.
'Oh right, so I'm gonna have to text him back' I chuckle.
'Yesss' Alison says.
'So what do I say?' I sigh. Oh, I still hate to think of something to text.
'Well, I guess telling him you will come to the show might be a good idea' Alison says with some sense of sarcasm in her voice.
'That would be awesome!'
'Shall I just send this?' I ask my friend.
'Well, I don't know. It sounds a bit.. odd? It's such a short text. Wait, give me your phone' Alison says and before I can do anything, she grabs my phone out of my hands and starts typing.
'That would be so cool! I guess we'll see you guys tonight! X Riley'
'Wait, I...' I start to say, but Alison already hit send. 'What did you do? I would never send 'X' in my second text, Alison'
'I know' she replies with a grin. 'Oh, relax, you'll be fine'
I sigh. 'Sure'
'Now let's get some new clothes for tonight' Alison says with excitement in her voice, pulling my hand.
Luke's POV
'That would be so cool! I guess we'll see you guys tonight! X Riley'
'Yes guys, nailed it' I smile.
'Yesss' Mikey yells whilst giving Calum a high five. 'She even send you a kiss' Calum says with a grin. 'Oh shut up' I laugh.
I text Riley the adress and around what time she has to be there. I tell her Paul has the tickets and he will be waiting for them at the entrance.
'So what are you going to do after the concert?' Ashton asks me.
'I don't know?'
'Well, I mean, you can ask her to go out with you' he says with a smirk. 'And then what?' I ask. 'We haven't seen each other in years, it will definitely be very awkward'
'Hey, I thought you were the cool guy here?' Calum says. 'Just start talking about her, ask her what she is doing with her life right now, I don't know'
'That sounds silly' I tell him.
'Well then goodluck with thinking of something else than asking her out. You won't get this chance again once we have left this city, you know. If you really want something to happen, you have to take action. As soon as possible' ashton says.
'Tonight' Mikey adds.
'We'll see' I sigh.
I honestly have no idea what I was thinking when I gave her my number. Of course I knew we would only be here for a few days, but I didn't want to go away without talking to her when I saw her walking into the parking lot the other day. Now it turns out that I'm still as shy as I was back in high school. I don't even know what to say to Riley if I'm going to see her tonight. Those shows are pretty chaotic sometimes, who knows I'll meet her again?
Riley's POV
While Alison and I are shopping for a new outfit, Luke texts me all the information I need for tonight. It all feels so 'official' right now. Meeting Luke and texting with him just felt like I was dreaming all the time. It didn't feel real.
I know that Luke won't stay here for long, but atleast we can have some fun tonight.
'What do you think of this dress?' Alison asks me, showing a cute black dress. 'That one is so cute, you should definitely try it on' I tell her.
'What about you?'
As an answer, I show her the black ripped skinny jeans and tank top I am holding in my hand.
We both try on the clothes and decide to take them. After we're done shopping we head back to my place to get ready for tonight.
