"Kabir! What the hell are you doing here?" Parth asked angrily, as he stared at his elder brother.
"Did you think that nobody would come searching for you, brother?" Kabir asked in disbelief.
"How did you trace me?" Parth asked, annoyed.
He had planned it perfectly, disposing of both his phone and sim card.
"You are talking to Kabir Malhotra, brother. Nothing is impossible for me." Kabir said arrogantly.
"Of course. It was just a matter of time," Parth muttered to himself.
"Of course," Kabir agreed smugly.
"You could have come in a car. Why make a scene with this dramatic entry?" Parth asked in irritation. The villagers were looking at them in wonder.
"As soon as you were tracked, I didn't waste time. Just took the chopper and flew here." Kabir said with a casual shrug of his shoulders.
"Why are you here, Kabir? I left home because I couldn't stay there. Why couldn't you just leave me alone at least for a little while." Parth asked helplessly.
"Dadi is in the hospital, Parth. She is worried she won't be able to see you ever again. She begged me to bring you back." Kabir said softly
"What? What happened?" Parth asked in dread. He hadn't foreseen such a situation when he packed his bags and left the family.
"She collapsed. She is stressed out. Come home, Parth. She needs you. Your mom needs you." Kabir said and Parth nodded.
"Of course I will. I just need to talk to someone before that." Parth said
Vaani, along with the other villagers, were watching in fascination.
They couldn't hear the conversation over the sound of the helicopter blades. But the conversation seemed intense.
How does Parthji know this man with a helicopter? Vaani wondered to herself.
"OMG. That man is no art tutor," A guy called out.
"What?" Everyone turned their attention to the young boy who called out loudly now.
"I googled that name printed on the helicopter. Malhotras! They are like the richest family in India. Kabir Malhotra. That's the man in the suit. The one who has been here for the last month is Parth Malhotra. Self made billionaire artist and one of the three heirs of Malhotra empire. And here we thought he is a local art teacher," the guy said, sharing the information he found on the Internet.
Vaani felt her heart breaking!
Was he playing her?
Some sort of entertainment for the rich man! Slumming with a village belle!
Of course, she was.
He lied to her. He lied that he was penniless. He lied that he was an orphan.
Parth spotted Vaani very late.
He saw her looking at him with those accusing hazel eyes and Parth felt his heart skipping a beat.
Vaani turned around and ran away from there.
Parth hurried behind her and cornered her in an isolated place.
"Vaani, listen to me," he said, taking hold of her hands.
"Don't touch me, you lying cheat." Vaani screamed, taking his hands off her.
"Let me explain. Please listen to me once." Parth said in a begging tone.
