Meredith's Pov

I sit up in my bed hearing my mom shouting for me. I glance at my clock before dragging myself downstairs.

"When did you get home?" I ask.

"15 minutes ago. You?"

"I can't remember."

She flips through mail while I pour myself a cup of coffee.

"Hey, Jungkook's mom and I want to talk to you guys about something."

I sit up and set my cup down. I try to read her face, but she's focused on the mail.

"About....?"

"Well, we should wait for them to get here." She says.

She looks up and smiles at me before pouring her own coffee.

"Wait...they're on their way?"

"Mhm."

I try to remember everything that's happened in the last few months and why they are pulling us together right now all of a sudden.

I answer the door and his mother pulls me into a hug. I glare at him over her shoulder.

"How are you Didi?" She asks.

"I'm great! You?"

"Couldn't be better!"

They walk in and our parents stare weirdly at us for a while. I glance at him before it hits me.

"Kook! Oh, my goodness! How are you?" I shout, pulling him into a hug.

He hugs me tightly and kisses my head.

"Great Mer. It's been a while." He smiles.

I nod and he keeps his arm wrapped around my shoulders as our mothers catch up.

"Get off of me." I whisper.

He scoffs before shoving me forward.

I stumble pretending to sit down at the counter.

"What's up guys?" I ask, clearing my throat.

"We love you both so so much. We know how hard this year has been on the both of you. Everything from school to family."

My mom rubs my hand at the mention of family and Jungkook breaks his neck to find my eyes. He mouths 'what happened' and I just roll my eyes.

"We know it's been hard on the both of you. You guys haven't had any time for your friendship. Which, I can tell, is making a big difference in how you act." My mom says.

"Right. Is that all?" He asks.

"As a gift for always working so hard and constantly trying to be better me and Jean went half on a graduation gift for you guys." His mom smiles.

"For the- uhm- for the both of us? To share?" I say motioning between us.

"Obviously!" He quips.

They pull out a small box and I think maybe it's a car or a storage unit for our stuff!

But oh, how I am so so so wrong.

"Here!" My mom says passing me the box.

He sits beside me, and we take the lid off together.

We look inside the box, more confused than ever.

We each grab one and hold it in front of our faces, looking at the items.
