Giving it all up for you

School trip

A few weeks had passed and we were now fully in October, I was still talking to floch, I kept wanting to see him but he kept telling me he couldn't, and I was starting to get skeptical.

Suitcase in hand I walked towards Sasha next to the huge bus. Today we were going a 5 days school trip, I was bunked with a group of girls I didn't really know that well, "I hate the fact we aren't in the same room" Sasha groans next to me,

"It's fine we can still eat together at lunch and dinner, plus we might be in the same visiting group" I say raising my eyebrows. "And maybe Floch might respond in the next 5 days" she says sarcastically to annoy me as I roll my eyes, we still hadn't seen each other in real life, and he kept taking longer and longer to respond, I didn't know if I really wanted to continue talking to him.

"Let's hope she even responds" now Hitch was walking towards us with a huge backpack and suitcase, "Right, I might respond faster if he starts getting interesting" I retort back to her, im not the type of person who likes talking by text to someone, more so without even knowing that person, so of course after a few weeks I will eventually get bored.

"I'm just going to wait it out and hope he finally wants to see me instead of just talking about himself" the girls giggled around me, "Watch her reject him and cry about being single after" Hitch says full on crying with laughter, she's right and I hate that, why can't I just end up with the right people?

As we walked up the bus I ended up getting seated next to a girl I didn't really know, getting out my headphones, I checked if he might've responded and without any luck no notification from him. Scrolling through our conversations I can only see him talk about himself and not even respond to messages when I share about myself. Who the fuck did I land on.

After 6 hours we finally stopped and entered the dorms, I greeted the girls and unpacked my stuff from my suitcase, "Hi y/n here let me help you" Mikasa a girl from my bunk helped me with my bags, I smile at her "Thanks Mikasa but don't worry I got it"

"Girls let's put all our snacks in here for tonight" Mina said gathering everything she had in her hands to hide them in the closet she pointed. "I think I might have some candy left here" Petra threw her an open sour candy bag,
"What's tonight" I asked facing Mina while putting my leftovers from the bus in the closet,

"We're going to gossip all night" she says giggling and jumping up and down, while I chuckle.

Night time now arrived and all the girls from my room were sat in a circle while I entered the room talking with mikasa "Wow y'all already started" I say shocked by how organized they were, they managed to assemble some soft drinks from the kitchen without getting caught and some cups, and in an other corner all the food we gathered later today.

"Yes but don't worry we were waiting for you two" sitting down I can finally see who I am with, there is Mina of course, Petra, Mikasa, Ymir and Rico.

"Come on sit down we were just thinking of classing the hottest guys in our level" raising my eyebrows and turning to Mikasa, we shared a confused look on how this discussion might end up.

"Ok kiss marry kill, Armin, connie and Jean, You go first Y/n" i paused not expecting to go first, "I don't really know I'd say marry Armin, kiss Connie and kill Jean."
The girls looked at me shocked "You'd kill Jean and kiss Connie, at the minimum you would do it the other way" they all laughed, we continued playing but with the other people on our levels.

It had to be about 1am now, we had done every game possible, truth or dare, spin the bottle, kiss marry kill, we were now blatantly speaking about our love lives. "Come on y/n a girl like you has to have a boyfriend or at least a few guys on her" I laughed "what do you mean a girl like me?"

"You're like super pretty y/n, look in the mirror girly" it was now Petra hyping me up, "you guys a too nice, but no nobody for now", I responded I could tell Mikasa was not buying it
"Right, then who is that guy Floch that keeps sending you messages since we started" I raise my eyebrows "Wait he responded?" Quickly standing up to get my phone I hear the girls talking about my reaction "Doesn't seem that unimportant from how quickly you just stood up" Mina smirked at me.

"Ok let me explain, Floch is a friend of a friend, we recently started talking like 2 weeks ago and I keep asking to meet together but he never can so I don't know what to do, plus he doesn't even like try to get to know me he only talks about himself" as I continued talking their smiles faltered at each red flag I named.

"Ok but like why do you continue talking to him?" As Mikasa asks me that I just sigh, "I don't know maybe once we see each other I might like him" as I sit down they continue talking while I see what he sent me,

Floch:
Let's go eat outside this Saturday

Screaming, the girls all turn towards me harassing me with questions like 'what did he say?', 'is it him?'

"He finally asked me to hang out!" I let out a high pitched scream, panicking "oh god is this like a date?" As I keep screaming out questions the girls try and tell me what to respond,
"Did he say where?" Rico asks, "no he didn't" I tell her,
"Then tell him, 'sure let's go out to a restaurant' that should be good", nodding I send him that,
"now we wait for a response" Mina says a look of mischief on her face, "bro this will be my first date, how do I dress, what do I say, imagine there are multiple silences"

We continue talking, about their love lives and rejections until we hear an audible 'ding' my eyes widening I look for my phone,

Sure let's go to a restaurant

Floch:
A restaurant? 🤣, let's go to Macdonalds at 12
Can't wait to see you ❤️❤️

What the actual fuck, the girls around me ask what he responded as defeat was written all over my face, "Look" as they all read the text one by one, they start mocking him, "Macdonald is he serious?" "And did he just laugh at the fact you wanted to eat somewhere classy?" "Huh!?" "Great way to make a first impression" Multiple comments were made.

After that we ended up going to bed, sleeping wasn't quite difficult since it was quite late , even if I was still internally stressing about how our 'Macdonald date' might go.
