Chapter 4

By now, we were all sitting in the living room while I was still on Enzo’s lap playing with my fidget pen. Their conversation wasn’t interesting to me, so I didn’t pay attention. But it wasn’t until I heard a familiar name that knocked my interest. “Yeah, she’s been killing them nonstop.” Jospeh said. “Who’s been killing who?” Leana asked. “Black Mist. She’s been killing the drug dealers anything down that road.” Josh said. “Black Mist? The famous assassin who goes to street racing and club fighting?” Luke asked, excited and surprised. The triplets nodded their heads.

“We tried to get violets foster parents to go to court and they said yes but when the time came, they never showed up. Two days later we found them in the river, with bullet holes in the chests and their heads along with wounds from a knife. They were stabbed and then shot multiple times and then burned and someone threw them in the river.” Marco said, making everyone look at each other. “Do you think Black Mist killed them?” John asked. Everyone shrugged their shoulders. I grab one of Enzo’s hands and start tracing my words again. ‘I know who Black Mist is’ I said on his hand. I look up at him to see him confused. “Who is it fiore?” he whispered to me. I put a finger to my lips.

He narrowed his eyes on me. “Do you know something we don’t?” he asked, gaining everyone's attention. I shrugged my shoulders and before he could move, I quickly got off his lap and ran out of the living room and up the stairs. I quickly ran to the huge library I saw one day.

I quickly went up the stairs and to my hiding spot. It was a really cool hiding spot.

I don’t think I should have told Enzo that I know who Black mist is, but I do, and I miss her. I’ve been trying to make it to where she can find me because they moved us and now, I don’t know what to do. I’m scared they might hurt her if they knew who Black mist is. I can’t have someone hurt because of me.

I don’t know how long I’ve been here, but my hands were shaking, why? Because I think the time passed of taking my meds and because I’m away from Enzo. I’m hungry and I want Enzo, but I’m afraid they will hurt me because they want to know who Black mist is. I sigh and walk out of my hiding spot. I walked out of the library and once I did, I heard a commotion in the living room. Confused, I walked towards the stairs and over the balcony thingy and saw Marco, Leana, and all the boys crowded in a circle with their guns pointed out.

I saw people in black clothing and masks on their faces. I recognized four of them, but I had no clue who they were the others. But why are they here? Did they find me?... I was jumped out of my thoughts by Marco’s loud voice. “Who the hell are you and what do you want?” he asked. “Where is she?” One of the men asked, ignoring Marco’s question. “Where’s who?” Leana asked, confused. I saw her put her gun down, extremely confused. The boys slowly put their guns down, confused as well. “The black mists sister” another guy said.

Before Maro and them could answer someone barged into the house, slamming the front door open with a loud bang, causing me to jump. I look towards the door to see the famous and only Black mist. A smile made its way on my face. I saw the men in the room tense up. “Did you find her?” she asked, making the men shake their heads ‘no’. She tenses up and looks towards Marco and the others. “Where is she?” she asked, calmly. “Where's who? Who are you looking for?” Leana asked. “My sister. Where is she?” she asked again. Leana for some reason tenses. “Are you going to hurt her if we have her?” Leana asked. I saw Black mist tense and fist clenched. “Why in the hell would I hurt my own sister?” she asked Leana with a very cold tone.

I open my mouth to let out a sigh even though I can’t make a sound but still. I went downstairs quietly but I wasn’t even halfway down there when I heard her speak, especially to me. “Were you going to hide up there this whole time Bubbles?” she asked. I smiled and walked up to her. She opened her arms, and I quickly hugged her. “I miss you bubbles.” she whispered. I smile and look up at her. “Leave” she said, causing the men to quickly escape the house. She looks over at Marco and them, “Did you take her?” she asked them. “I saved her.” Marco said. “What do you mean?” she asked. “She was unconscious in an alleyway. She was injured badly, so I took her here, to my home and helped her.” Marco said. 

Black mist quickly took off her mask and everyone gasped. She ignored them and looked down at me. I smiled and quickly jumped into her arms. She quickly held me close her chest, like Enzo does and kisses my cheek. “They're all dead bubbles.” she whispered in my ear. I nodded and she placed me on the ground. She looked at Marco and them again. “So, who does my sister like the most in this house?” Everyone quickly looks at Enzo. He just shrugs his shoulder like nothing. I smiled and quickly ran towards him. He quickly picked me up and wrapped his arms around me. I laid my head on his chest. “What’s your real name?” I heard Leana ask. “Harley. Harley Matthew Brown.” Harley said.

“You said that you were looking for your sister, Violet is your sister?” she asked Harley. “No, she isn’t but I love her, and she reminds me of my little sister so therefore she is my sister whether it be by blood or no blood. Violet is my sister and I’ll kill whoever hurts her.” Harley said. “Cool. That means I can marry you.” I heard Josh say. I heard some say ew while others say gross. I smiled and snuggled closer to Enzo when I felt Harley’s presence coming closer. “You're a little too young for me. Besides, you're not my type.” Harley said.

I felt Enzo place me into someone else's arms. I quickly opened my eyes and quickly grabbed his shirt, while wrapping my other arm around Harley’s neck since she was holding me now. “I’m not going anywhere fiore.” Enzo said.
