Entry 3
Tech has grown up so fast. I didn't think that time could fly by so quickly, but I suppose I was mistaken.
She is about to turn fourteen. Yes, she is a teenager already. What's worse is that she has a boyfriend now. They have been together for a while, and I still can't remember his name for the life of me. I think I scared him a bit with what I told him a few weeks ago, though:
"If you harm my daughter, I promise it'll be the last thing you do."
Was it wrong of me to threaten a young boy? Possibly. But I've found that I don't care. I may seem overprotective, but I just want what is best for my daughter. I don't mind the path she has chosen, but I do not want this boyfriend of hers to lay a finger on her.
He seems like the gentle sort, but I still have my doubts. Still can't believe he is living in the castle now. Yes, Cortex allowed that. I could tell he was reluctant, though. The reason that boy is staying here is due to the fact that his parents died a while back and he had been left on the street since then. I cannot remember how long ago he said he first lost his parents, but from what I understand, he had possibly been alone for years.
I have promised myself that I will kick the boy out of he did Tech any harm, whether it be physically or mentally. If he ever cheats on her, I will personally escort him out. I pray it never comes to that, but a parent's got to do what a parent's got to do.
As I've said before, I don't want to see Tech be put in harm's way again. She almost perished years ago, and I...I still feel so worried about her. I care about her well-being so much. I don't want to lose her!
As I am writing this, I feel tears making their way down my cheeks. My paper is starting to become wet. I think that's my cue to stop writing for the day.
