nina salvador, rested her head against the window, listening to her rumors CD as her mom was slowly arriving at their new home back in smallville. nina can't remember her time in smallville because she was about two years old. the young teen can see from the corner of her eye that her mom, mariah was talking to her before taking off her headphones and asking: "sorry, what?"
"i said that you start school on monday, are you excited?"
"no"
"why not? you're coming back to a place you know"
"barely, last time we were here was for a few months, then we left and i was two! plus ever since that meteor shower this town had, weird stuff happens" answered nina
mariah shook her head lightly before nina asked when her dad, alejandro coming up to visit. mariah replied she wasn't sure yet, that he hasn't really touch base with them yet. nina frowns sadly before mariah suggests that once they put the boxes in the house, why don't they grab some pizza and explore the town.
nina nodded her head, that didn't seem like a bad idea before nodding her head in response and then resuming listening to her music.

mariah and nina finally arrived at their new house, they began grabbing their boxes and started putting them in the house, in rooms where they belong. once they finished the first floor, they made their way upstairs. nina started unpacking her stuff in her room before hearing the moving truck arrive with their furniture. nina noticed her mom greeting the drivers before they started bringing down stuff to put in the house.
nina ran downstairs to see if her mom was still on for pizza.
"mom? the pizza?" nina asked
"oh shoot! uh...sorry, i have to be here to make sure the furniture is in the right place. why don't you phone a pizza place, and go in my car to pick it up"
nina doesn't fight back and just nods her head, before going back instead to use the yellow pages to find a pizza place in town. once she was able to find one, nina grabbed the phone and dialed the number.
"i'm heading out for pizza, i'll be back"
mariah kissed nina's head before sending her off with the money and keys. the drive to the pizza shop was about 15 minutes going downtown. but within 15 minutes, nina was able to listen to rumors by fleetwood mac.
