A Beautiful Name For A Beautiful Girl

Dinah's P.O.V.

I'm on my way to go visit Mila. I wish she would just wake up. I need my best friend and I know Sofi needs her sister. I really miss her. I talk to her but I don't even know if she can hear me. Even if she can hear me she can't respond back and I miss the sound of her voice.

I'm walking into the depressing hospital when I see something that looks the complete opposite of depressing. Well more like someone. She looks absolutely flawless. She has beautiful chocolate colored skin and deep dark brown eyes. I felt like her smile lit up the place. I had to know her so I went over to talk to her.

"Hi my names Dinah-Jane but everyone calls me Dinah or D-mac."

"D-mac sounds really cool but I think your name is really beautiful so I'll just call you Dinah."

"What's your name?" I asked not even bothering to cover up the smile that was permanently put on my face when she called my name beautiful.

"My names Normani."

"Wow, and you thought my name was beautiful." I stated making her blush a little which I was proud of myself for.

"So what are you doing in the hospital? If you don't mind me asking of course." She asked.

"I'm not a patient here. My best friend is in a coma and I come to visit her every day."

"Aww! That's so sweet. You're such a good friend."

"Oh yeah that reminds me I have to go but it was nice meeting you. I hope to see you around." I said trying to get back to Camila but at the same time not wanting to leave this attractive girl.

"You too. I hope you friend gets better."

"Thank you." I said as I started walking towards Mila's room.

"Hi Sinu." I said when I entered Camila's hospital room.

"Hi Dinah. You look awfully happy what's going on with you?" Sinu asked as I realized that the smile that Normani had put on my face is still there. Oh crap.

"Nothing I'm just excited to see my best friend that's all." I lied even though I did enjoy seeing Mila just not like this.

"I'm flattered Dinah but you're never this excited to see me." Sinu said chuckling lightly.

"Mila your mom just thinks she's the funniest person in the world." I told Camila.Soon after, the door opened and Alejandro, Camila's dad walks in with Sofi.

"Hey guys. Hi Sofi." I said as Sofi came up to me and jumped into my arms.

"Dinah?" she asked signaling that she was about to ask me a question.

"Yes?"

"Are you the angel that watches over Kaki?" she whispered in my ear as if it were a secret.

"I guess so." I said knowing that Sofi has a big imagination and deciding to just go along with it. "I'll be back I have to go to the bathroom." I said now leaving to go to the nearest restroom.

When I walked into the bathroom I saw Normani.

"I forgot to ask you for your phone number." She said.

I gave her my phone number and then asked, "What would a beautiful girl like you want with my number anyway?"

"To talk to a beautiful girl like you of course." She replied back. Blush crept up on my cheeks.

"You asked me earlier why I was in the hospital but you never told me why you were here. If you don't mind me asking of course."

"I have a kidney disease. I have to get one of my kidneys removed but they want to keep an eye on me for a while before the treatment to make sure its safe because most people my age don't get kidney disease."

"Oh... Well what exactly is your age?" I asked curious to get to know this girl better.

"I'm 19. What about you?"

"I just turned 18. It kinda sucks that my best friend was in a coma for my 18th birthday. I could really use a friend to talk to." I pouted.

"Well I just got transferred to this hospital so maybe I could swing by and keep you company." She said winking afterward.

"That would be nice. As Izaak Walton once said "Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter." And I do believe you'd be good company."
