When I Wake Up (Camren/Norminah)

Dinah's P.O.V.

I was just getting back to Camila's room when Sinu was leaving with Sofi because it was Alejandro's turn to stay with Camila. I said my goodbyes to them and sat down next to Alejandro who was like my second dad.

"Have you met anyone else while you've been here? You know like someone special to you." He asked.

"No not really." I said not mentioning Normani.

"Well you've seen someone. Dinah I know you and I know that face you make when you've seen someone you like. Its ok if you don't want to talk about it I won't push you to." He said. Then I smiled at him actually pondering if I should tell him or not. Camila knew I liked girls. We know everything about each other and hopefully when she wakes up we will still know everything about each other. If she loses her memory I don't know what I'll do. I decided not to tell him about Normani because I wasn't even sure she liked me back and there was no point in telling him my biggest secret only to get his hopes up. I was startled when my phone buzzed. I had gotten a text from Mani. Mani? Where did I get that nickname from? I smiled a huge grin when I saw what her text said

N- I miss you already beautiful ;)

D- I miss you too. Is it ok if I come to your room to see you?

N- Yeah that'd be perfect but what about your friend?

D- She's in a coma I hardly think shell even notice I'm gone.

N- Well that's cruel humor.

D- My best friends in a coma I gotta laugh whenever I get the chance.

I put my phone away and told Alejandro that I'd be back soon and left before he had a chance to give me that knowing look that I know he would give me if I stayed long enough. I texted Mani asking which room was hers and when I got a reply back I started walking down the hall to her room. I knocked lightly on her door but before anyone could get up to answer the door I had decided that because I was invited and Normani knew I was coming that I could just let myself in.

When I walked into the room Normani was laying on the bed and a woman that I was guessing was her mom was sitting in a chair next to her bed.

"Mom this is the girl I was talking about earlier. Dinah this is my mom Andrea." I shook her mother's hand while trying not to show her that I was flattered that Normani was talking about me earlier.

"Nice to meet you." We both said.

"I'm glad to see that Normani is already making new friends." She said. I just glance at Normani chuckling lightly because I see that she's blushing.

"So you talk about me? What exactly do you say?" I ask purposely making her feel awkward.

"Um j-just that you s-seem really c-cool and I think w-we should hang out." She said. I could tell that she was normally a confident person and that she wasn't used to being in situations like this which is why I was really happy to find out that I make her get this way.

We all had talked for a couple of hours and I had fun. So much fun that I had lost track of time and soon remembered that I had to get back to Camila. I told Normani that I had to go and said goodbye to her and her mother. I honestly hoped to see Normani again soon and as soon as I left her hospital room I had already started to miss her.

I walked into Camila's room and Alejandro was waiting for me expectantly. "I'll be back soon?" he asked chuckling lightly because he had already guessed that I was visiting someone I liked earlier. His guess had been correct but I couldn't let him know that.

"Um an old lady had asked me to help her out and then when I realized that she was all alone with no visitors I decided to stay and talk to her for a few hours because she seemed lonely." I lied off of the top of my head.

"Yeah sure." He rolled his eyes. "Just make sure you watch who you get attached to." What did he mean by that? Was he telling me not to get attached to someone who might die soon? Mani wasn't going to die anytime soon, was she?

I realized that I would have to leave the hospital soon so I started looking for a quote to read to Camila. I had found the perfect quote and started to read it to her. "Ok Mila here's your quote for the night. "The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides." That one is by Audrey Hepburn. I chose that one because I can't wait to see you open those beautiful eyes of yours again." I leaned in really close so that Alejandro couldn't hear what I was about to say next. "I met a really pretty girl Mila. I can't stop thinking about her and I think I'm in love. I can't wait for you to meet her when you wake up." I had stopped whispering now and said "I'll see you tomorrow Mila but I have to go." I said goodbye to Alejandro and left the hospital for the night.

Camila's P.O.V.

The girl was here again. She was just as beautiful as the last time I saw her.

"What's your name?" I asked her.

"Lauren." I hugged her. It felt so nice to hold someone. Then she disappeared right there in my arms. I know I found beauty after I looked into her eyes. It was just like in the quote Dinah read to me. I had peered through her eyes and into her heart and it was pure and beautiful. I know she's the one for me. I'm in love with Lauren.
