At the outskirts of Magnolia, the Lightning mage of Fairy Tail sat on the cliffside, the sun rays of the sunset glistening over his structured face. His mind was clouded over the thoughts of the reckless plans he had in store for his guild, prepared to face whatever may come his way. Yet, subconsciously, another thought popped into his head, and he wished it didn't; Nyx Dragneel. "Damn it..." He cursed to himself, frustrated at the lingering doubts swirling in his head. Not only that but images of Nyx kept popping into his head as well; her luscious soft pink hair, her vibrant golden eyes, her cheerful smile, and even her illuminating yet powerful dragon slayer powers she wields. All of it was sensational and beautiful, she was heavenly in his eyes yet he couldn't seem to capture her heart despite the efforts he had made over the years, and it seemed she was oblivious to his flattery, however, it didn't stop him.

He could still remember the first day they met as if it were yesterday. It was interesting how they met as if he could ever forget it.

In the forest, on the outskirts of Magnolia, a young teen boy with a scar on his right eye, stomped on the grounds, with each step crushing the grass underneath his feet. It was one of those days for him; after receiving another suffocating lecture from his grandfather, Master Makarov of Fairy Tail, the young blonde teen took it upon himself to sulk in silence in the forest where he could relieve his anger out in the open where he couldn't hurt anyone.

Typically, he would go to the same tree and kick it, but this time he wanted a different scenery, so he decided to venture further into the forest to see what it could offer him. Laxus was in his rebellious phase, disobeying or breaking the rules to tick off his grandpa or boasting the strength he has, either way, he just wanted to bring some attention to himself as Laxus Dreyar not as the grandson of the Master of the almighty Fairy Tail. That was another reason why he was full of bitterness. People would compare him to his grandfather, how much they are alike, praying he would turn out just like him, etc. Laxus was always in Makarov's shadow, never once able to prove his strength to the people. He may be the flesh and blood of Makarov Dreyar, but he was also just a kid, trying to make a name for himself as Laxus Dreyar. He just hoped one of these days someone or anyone would pull him out of his grandfather's shadow and see him for he truly was.
