Sunday Memories

Chapter 4 - The First Mission

A few weeks had passed since the incident between Zac and Sunday, and Kaede had given them a mission, a big one. At the current moment, Sunday, Nickole, Zac and Clarissa, as well as Ino, Shikumaru, Choji, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. All 10 of them waited for their Sensei's, whilst Sunday was smirking at Zac's slightly blushing face. " Zac has a crush on Ino~ " She said to Sakura. Zac blushed darkly when he heard Sunday. Ino looked at Zac slightly, also hearing. " So you have a crush on me? " she asked. Zac gulped slightly. " N-No! " he said. " He does. " Sunday grinned, and went to Zac and hugged him. " You see, brother here has liked you for ages~ " " Be quiet Sunday! " Zac said, and looked away, blushing darkly. Sunday grinned, cheekily. " Admit it, big brother! " she said. " ENOUGH! " Zac shouted. Sunday flinched, and teared up.

Zac sighed, and hugged Sunday. " Sorry for yelling. " he muttered, softly, trying to calm her down. Sunday nuzzled into him and nodded, understanding. Zac smiled a little. He looked at Ino, who was smiling. He blushed softly at the sight of her smiling. Sunday closed her eyes, then heard the door open. She opened her Eyes and looked at the door, and sighed. She pulled away from Zac and hugged his arm slightly. Kaede, as well as the other two Sensei's, had entered the room. " Okay, I bet you are all wondering why you are here. " Kaede said, a cheerful smile on her lips. Everyone in the room nodded.

" Well, all of us are going on a mission together~ " Kaede grinned. Sunday smiled, and looked at Zac who was blushing darkly. Naruto looked at Zac and Sunday, growing a little jealous at how close they were. Naruto went to Zac, and tapped Sunday slightly. Sunday looked at Naruto, and smiled. Naruto smiled back. " These are the teams you will work in. " Kaede said, adding " Naruto, Sunday, Zac, Ino, Shikumaru. You're team one in this. Team two. Sakura, Sasuke, Clarissa, Nickole, Choji. " Clarissa blushed, hearing she was with Sasuke. Ino looked at who she was with. Sunday nuzzled into Zac, calmer now she was on his team. She looked up to him like her brother.

" Now, let's head off. " Kaede said. They all nodded, and followed their Sensei out of the room. Sunday walked beside Zac and Naruto. Naruto quickly took hold of Sunday's hand, and grinned. Sunday blushed darkly, but continued to hold his hand. " Let go of my sister's hand, Naruto. " Zac said, getting highly defensive of Sunday. He pulled her close to him, protectively. Sunday smiled, and nuzzled into Zac, letting go of Naruto's hand. Naruto frowned slightly. Zac walked, keeping Sunday close. Sunday walked in silence. Her cat ears twitched, hearing something. Zac looked at her, noticing her ears twitched. " I heard something. " Sunday muttered. They were guarding a man named Tazuna, of the land of the waves. " What did you hear, Sunday? " Naruto asked, curiously. Sunday sniffed the air. " I thought I heard footsteps...... But only our teams, Tazuna and our Senseis are here. " she said. She listened, carefully, and looked around, noticing puddles. She said nothing, but had noticed it hadn't rained in weeks. She went to The Senseis, and whispered it to them. Kaede nodded slightly.

The group kept walking, Sunday keeping her ears and nose out for everything. She heard something, and turned around quickly. She held her hand out to do a Jutsu and let out a yelp, something cutting her hand. Zac looked at Sunday, his eyes wide. Naruto ran to Sunday, and looked at her hand. He yelled slightly, something cutting his hand as well. Sunday heard something, and flipped out of the way, throwing a Shurikan toward the direction it came from. A yell was heard when the Shurikan embedded itself into the arm of a ninja. Sunday smiled to herself. She sniffed the air. " Two men. " she said. Zac looked around. Sunday looked around, her pupils in slits like a cats. One of her eyes faintly lit on fire, and she saw a poison-like chakra in her hand. She grabbed a kunai, and stabbed her hand. " Naruto, Poison. " she said. Naruto nodded, and did the same as Sunday. The fight went on for a while, before the two enemies were defeated. The group continued to walk.

This ambush would not be the last........ Nor the easiest battle they would face on this mission.
