absolutely flawless

My whole life I've been told that my body isn't my strongest point
so I started believing everything they said, like I was smoking a joint
I even believed that my brain was the only thing I could offer
being overwhelmingly kind to everybody so they wouldn't see me suffer

"you will never be a body model, but many people could use having your face"
they thought it was a wise compliment, but it just hurt as if someone hit me with disgrace
you know, it's probably the reason I can't believe it when you affirm me
"You are unbelievably beautiful and I love your perfect body"

you teached me: perfect isn't the standard of society
at times even givin' me chills because of self doubt and anxiety
flawlessness varies, depending on who you're asking
because, as we all know, beauty is not everlasting
so if my body is absolutely flawless to you
then I will try to make myself believe that it's absolutely flawless to me
