I woke up to a loud banging and internally groaned, having an idea who it was. I took my sweet time getting out of bed and went to the front door to see Gaia already opening the door, and there stood my most favourite person in the entire universe, more specifically someone I can't seem to stand for more than five minutes.
And there stood Styx Moretti in all his glory, next to him stood a tall and beautiful girl, his wife Tara Moretti.
And on his hand was my cute little munchkin  Thane Moretti the heir of the Moretti empire.
I quickly took him in my arms and rushed inside leaving those two idiots behind.
Hearing footsteps behind me I groaned nth time within five minutes of waking up.

" What a warm welcome Eli." Styx said in a matter of fact tone.
" Well I never welcomed you, Boss. " I replied.
" Iam hurt butterfly, come on don't be so cold." He said welcoming himself to the dining area and sitting down.
" I'd rather you not show your face for a week you asshole after the kind of work you made me do."
I replied.
" What are you speaking about Butterfly, your last assignment was to take care of rossi and his dogs right." He answered looking around pretending to be clueless. It looked kinda fishy.
Oh so now he was gonna act all clueless and shit,
Looking around I found Tara and internally smirked, time for revenge.
" Tara your husband sent me on a mission to get rid  of  one of his clients  enemies, and do you know who the client was?" I asked her.
Styx looked at me pleading with his eyes to not tell his wife, I smirked.
She looked at me and signed asking me who it was, Tara was not mute. She couldn't speak ever since she faced some trauma as a child, and the only person who she spoke with was Styx , Thane and Ricky.
" It was The vipers or more specifically the daughter of the vipers president Anna Heart."

Tara looked at Styx who was looking everywhere but her and Suddenly she stood up went near him and held his ears and took him out of the dining room, I'm sure Styx had no chance of coming out alive.
Although Tara couldn't speak but God she'd sign faster than a train and always had the invincible
Leader on his knees around her.
I looked down to see my little munchkin already getting down from the chair and rushing towards Grace's room.
Grace and Thane shared a very unique relationship , Grace who was usually shy around other kids always lighted up when Thane was around and Thane who was always grumpy around others would always be joyous around Grace. You'd always find them together everywhere and  Thane although elder than her always stayed with her and even scared away people from her.
It was quiet adorable actually watching a five year  old scare people away, but that worked in his favour as he had inherited his fathers looks and along with the everlasting scowl present on his face around others, he truly looked like styx the second in making.
" Eli am gonna take revenge on you for what you just did."   I looked up to see styx coming in while rubbing his years.
" Well that's what you get for sending me on a mission without any prior notice." I replied
" We've something to tell you Grace." Styx said in a serious manner which seemed a little odd. I nodded asking him to continue.
" I did not know it until yesterday but apparently, rossis famiglia which Majorly owns the bikers club and has many pubs and bars around them apparently isn't the main family, but they directly run under one of the greatest mafias."
"Which one? As long as they are not related to the Italian mafia, iam fine." I replied.
But the look that he gave was telling me otherwise and than he suddenly said the thing I dreaded the most.
" Iam sorry Eli, but I swear I had no idea that they were working under the Italian mafia and most importantly under the current Italian don
Stefano Garcia"
Fucking hell.
I would never go near the Rossi's warehouse if I had known he worked under stefano asshole moretti.
For the past month I was on a mission to eradicate any of the warehouses or any apprentice of rossi's based in NewYork due to a special order from the daughter of the president of The vipers who wanted revenge from rossi's for some reason and yesterday was my last mission as I finally killed their main head, and to come to know that the said man was working under my ex husband, who's very thought infuriates me and haunts me and reminds me of the past was suffocating me.
I wanted to hit styx's head on the wall and hit him in his nuts.
" And why the hell did you not research on them you asshole before you sent me??
I clearly told you I won't associate with them no matter what."
" I really had no idea Elina, please iam sorry."
He replied and I wanted to hit him than and there.

" How dare you, will your sorry solve the mese you created??
What if he comes to know about Grace, he'll tak her from me. What will you do than??."

Grace is the only reason iam alive and knowing that because of a mistake of someone she could be discovered and could be taken away from me is making me hysterical, I can't live without her.
No. I won't let him take her from me. I will never let him come into my life again.
I went to Grace's room and saw her playing with Thane and saw her giggling at something he was saying.
I'd never let that man snatch away her smile and destroy her life as he destroyed mine and that was a promise.

I looked back to see Styx looking at me with remorse and although I knew there was no fault of his I did not want to see him now.

" Please Styx, go away for now."

He wanted to argue but Tara held his hand and signalled him to leave.
He quietly left outside.

Tara signed at me telling me that he was actually unaware and that she understands me and will hit Styx for me.
That actually made me laugh, Tara was very fragile but she was also a tigress hidden beneath the mask of a lamb.

" Thanks T, I appreciate it and I know he did not mean it. Iam just worried about Grace. "

Tara squeezed my hand silentlt offering me comfort and we both looked ahead at Thane and Grace who were apparently playing with cars now and were smiling at eachother.
I'd be damned if I let some scumbag from my past spoil this happiness of my kids.
Watch out stefano Garcia because if by chance you come in front of me I'll be sure to kill you.
