OUR LOVE STORY

 (2065)

Kia entered the dimly lit room, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting a warm hue on the wrinkled face of the frail old man lying in the bed. The air was heavy with a mixture of nostalgia and anticipation, as if time itself had slowed down in this moment of transition.

Kia's eyes were filled with concern and a hint of sadness as she approached her father's bedside. The old man, his once strong frame now weakened by the passage of years, turned his gaze toward her with a feeble smile.

"Don't be afraid, my dear," he whispered, his voice a mere whisper of its former strength. Kia took a deep breath, trying to compose herself, and gently clasped her father's frail hand.

"Dad," she began, her voice tinged with emotion, "is there anything you need? Can I get you anything?"

The old man's eyes, clouded with the weight of time, studied Kia's face for a moment before he spoke. "No, my love. I have everything I need right here with you." He squeezed her hand weakly, trying to convey a sense of reassurance.

Kia nodded, her eyes welling up with tears that she struggled to hold back. "I... I just wanted to be here with you, Dad. To talk, to share these last moments together."

A bittersweet smile played on the old man's lips. "You've always been my source of strength, Kia. My greatest joy in life. I couldn't have asked for a better daughter."

Tears rolled down Kia's cheeks as she leaned in, placing a tender kiss on her father's forehead.

A soft sigh escaped the old man's lips as he spoke, his eyes reflecting a deep longing. "Kia, there's something I wish for, my dear. Today, I couldn't make it to the graveyard to visit your mother's resting place. Would you mind taking this old man's weary legs there and leaving a rose for her?"

Kia's heart ached at her father's request, and without hesitation, she nodded. "Of course, Dad. I'll go to the graveyard and leave a rose for Mom. You rest, and I'll make sure she knows you're thinking of her."

As she prepared to leave, her father's weak voice called out to her. "Tell her I love her, and I'll be joining her soon. Our love will endure, even beyond this life."

Tears welled up in Kia's eyes, but she managed a nod. "I will, Dad. You rest now. I'll be back soon."
With a tender embrace, Kia left the room, the red rose clutched tightly in her hands.

The old man's gaze lingered on the bedside table where a cherished photo frame stood. Within its weathered borders captured a frozen moment in time - a snapshot of his youth, a radiant smile, and the arms of his beloved wife wrapped around him. Their wedding day.

"YN, my love," he murmured, his voice a mere whisper, yet filled with a lifetime of affection.
