Chapter 12- Jensen's Pov

I finally kissed him, or well he kissed me. Either way, our lips met, and it was intense. Also, we both wanted it. After the best kiss of my life, I went back home. I didn't want to go, I really didn't, but my Mother wanted me home before my father came home. Mackenzie and I haven't seen him for like two months now since he had a business trip to go to just as he got back from vacation.

After I helped my mom with dinner and setting the table, I went to the living room and sat on our new couch. When my mom came home from the couple's trip, she was pissed about the couch. She wasn't exactly pissed off at me because of Jared's condition at the time, but just pissed at the world.

Like I had promised Jared, I texted him.

Hey 

Hey! Wht U up 2?

Nothing much. waiting 4 my dad 2 come home

That's cool

Yeah... It might sound sappy, but i miss u

We can probably hang out tomorrow if I don't have 2 watch, Megan

"Jensen? Mackenzie? Your father just pulled in. Come get your butts to the table," my mom yells from the kitchen. I give a loud sigh and text Jared one last time. 

Sounds great. I have 2 go. Bye Love you!

Love you too. Bye.

I trudge into the kitchen and take a seat beside Mackenzie. She has her phone in her lap trying to hide it from mom, but being the snitch I am, I call her out on it, "Mom, Mac is on her phone at the dinner table."

"You know phones are not allowed at the table," Mom scolds. I can't help but laugh as Mac hits my arm and calls me mean. Our mom catches it, but just ends up yelling at me, "Jensen, be nice to your sister."

Mackenzie sticks her tongue out at me, and I try to grab it like Joshua did to me when we were younger. Instead, I hit her nose making her screech. I only laugh harder as she gets even madder. She then took a fork and attacked me, while I grabbed an empty plate to shield myself from her vicious stabs. Pure sibling love right here.

"Children! Stop it this instant before your dad co..." Our mom starts but is interrupted by the door opening. Dad walks in, and freezes at the scene he walked into. Mackenzie was on top of me with the fork in the air, me with the plate in my hands, and mom in the midst of yelling at us.

"Okay... well I'm glad you guys survived without me..." He said setting his bag by the door and walking toward us. Mac jumped off me, setting the fork back on the table. I did the same with the plate. We both expected him to start yelling, but instead, his face softened and told us, "Come here you two. I missed all my babies."

I ignore the part where he called me a baby, and go over to him and gave him a hug, Mackenzie right behind me. Mom soon joined, and together we stood in our family embrace. The only person we needed was Josh, but he was off in college.

Finally, we let go and sit back down at the table. We gave thanks and dug in. For the first moments it was quiet, but in a comfortable way, till my father spoke up, "So, how's school for the both of ya?"

"Good," I answer simply. At the moment we were on Spring break, so we had a week and a half off school. 

"Magnificent. Ella and I were nominated for Beta president and vice president..." Mac went on, but I wasn't paying attention. She could talk for hours if nobody stopped her. Eventually, she stops leaving it quiet again.

"Jensen! You still have a girlfriend?" My dad asks me.

"No," I say shaking my head. He doesn't exactly know that I'm gay, nobody does except for Jared. The rest of them keep talking, but I could only think about telling them. I knew I would eventually have to, but when? I haven't figured out yet.

After dinner, Mackenzie and I do dishes while our parents go up to their room. Soon when we have the dishes put away and the kitchen clean, I head to my room and lay there exhausted. I close my eyes for a second, but I'm already out.

I wake up from a bright ray of light coming from my window. I groan at my sleepiness, but I suck it up and look at my phone. I see a text from Jared.

Bad news... I have to watch Megan

Feeling disappointed I start to type out 'okay' when an idea comes to me. Quickly I type back.

Bring her with us

It's not long before he texts back.

U sure?

Definitely. I just want 2 see you

Okay. Does the park sound okay? 12:00 maybe?

Yeah sounds great.

I take a shower and get dressed quickly. By the time I'm done, it's only 10:00 am. Two hours to spare. I make my way down to the kitchen where I see one of the most disturbing things ever- and I've seen some shit. In front of me was my parents making out on the table.

"Oh Gawd! I'm blind! " I say loudly, covering my eyes, " We eat off that you know. Or well we used to." 

"Okay, we get it, Jensen. Don't have to make a big deal of it," My dad mumbles.

"Do you even know me? That's all I do," I state heading for the fridge, "Hey, I'm going to the park to see Jared and his sister."

"Yeah okay. How is Jared doing?" my mom asks.

"He's good. Definitely better," I say grabbing a breakfast sandwich.

"That's good. Tell him hi for me," she says.

"Yup bye," I say before I walk out the door.

The way to the park was quiet except for the radio quietly playing. I'm almost excited to hear kids screaming as I park into the parking lot. I spot Jared easily. Running up to him, I realize Megan sitting next to him, her nose in a book.

"Those things can bite your face off if you're not careful," I joke causing both siblings to jump.

"Of course they will Jensen," Megan scoffs, "Go make out with Jared or something. Just leave me alone."

I'm taken back by the comment. Was she joking, or did she actually know? Without a word, I glance to Jared and silently ask him. He gives me a shy smile and nods his head. I answer back to her comment, "Don't mind if I do. "

With that, I drag Jared to a tree away from everyone else. Jared starts with an apology, "I'm sorry about her. She doesn't like the idea of me watching her. She just thinks she can take care of hers..."

Before I know it, I'm leaning towards him, and kissing him. He stopped talking at least. We kiss for some time, our lips moving perfectly together. When I'm sure I can't hold my breath for any longer, I pull away. We both pant breathlessly as we stare at each other.

"You're an amazing kisser," I say lamely.

"I could say the same for you, Sir Kiss A Lot," He jokes as he leans against my chest.

"Ooh! New nickname?" I ask. He only nods his head. I kiss the crown of his hair and lean against the trunk of the tree. Together we sit under the tree, staring up at the clouds. We pointed out different shapes the clouds formed to pass time.

Unfortunately, time was too fast because before we know it, it's six o'clock, and time for the Padaleckis to leave. I sadly give Jared a goodbye kiss and walk back to my own truck. 

I get back home and go straight to my room. I was exhausted yet again. I fall asleep in record time.
