It's been almost a year and a lot has changed since Bucky and Y/n made their relationship public to the team including Y/n's parents. Tony has warmed up to Bucky a bit more while Pepper absolutely adores him because he's making her daughter happy.
Bucky moved in with Y/n into her apartment and the two adopted a white cat they named Alpine, Bucky was hesitant at first but after his new therapist Doctor Christina Raynor suggested that he gets a furry companion to help with his stress he brought up the idea to Y/n who was ecstatic to have a furry friend.
The bookstore has been doing great and Bucky has taken on the role of running the store alongside Y/n. He still goes on a few missions here and there when Sam or Steve call asking for his help. Bucky loves living a normal life after everything he's been through.
The Avengers still see a lot of Bucky and Y/n since Y/n had the idea of a big family dinner every week at the tower for more room. Bucky still talks to Steve regularly and the two go out for beers at the bar down the street every so often. Sam still annoys the hell out of Bucky but Bucky will never admit that he considers him a close friend.
Y/n stays later at the bookstore often and when she comes home after a long day she sees Bucky asleep on the couch with Alpine curled up into his side which warms her heart at the adorable sight.
Bucky and Y/n have had a conversation about their relationship and what they want out of it both coming to the conclusion that they both want to get married and have kids one day in the future but for now the two will happily live their lives with their fur baby.
