IT WAS WAY too early when the peacekeepers dragged me out of the hospital room to take me to the zoo, where they were keeping all of the other tributes.
When I woke up, I turned to see that Coriolanus had already left, his bed made and no sign that anyone ever had ever slept there.

Appearance didn't matter for now, I'd only worry when it came to the day of my death. I had thought about it, like Coriolanus said, Lucy Gray would not die. And I'd make sure of that. And plus, I've survived death once, thats enough for me.

The peacekeeps pushed me into eyeline of all the flashing cameras, most of them were aimed at Lucy Gray - but she stopped smiling for the pictures as soon as she spotted me in the corner of her big, beautiful brown eyes.

The pair of them watched as the peacekeepers opened the zoo, they all entered the cage before letting her in - just incase any tributes made an attempt to an escape.

Coriolanus was there, but many other mentors were not to be found. Only a few other girls.

"Miss Everdeen, that interview was amazing!"

She laughed, walking towards me as I had finally made my way into the zoo where everyone else was being kept. They all seemed oddly uncomfortable to see me, especially Marcus - the boy who had came with me from district 2.

"Your song, it made me tear up a little." I told her, Lucy wrapped her delicate arms around me as she smiled, keeping up as much positivity as she could.

Most people.. were sick of it.

As Lucy ran off to go ask Jessup if he was doing alright, I heard my name being called. I turned around in hope that Sejanus had arrived a few minutes late - but instead it was just Coriolanus.

I walked over as close to the caged bars as I could, stopping until I was close enough to be able to hear him speak.

"I don't care whether you die first or last, remember that."

I stood up, looking down at him as he remained kneeled down on the ground. Why did he feel the need to insult me at every given time, I wasn't his tribute but he was fully aware of my personality and appearance - giving him absolutely no right to judge me anymore. But what could stop him?

"I have a chance to help you." He paused for a few seconds, a slight smile appearing on his lips.
" To make some suggestions to the gamemakers." He then proceeded to ask me if I was alright, so he was sure I was following along. "I might even be able to get the audience to send you gifts, in the arena!"

Coriolanus was extremely proud of his ideas, and it was also visible on his face that someone else wasn't.
She followed his eyes, learning that every few minutes, his eyes follow Lucy Gray.

"You really do care."

We both chuckled softly, I agreed to his idea and caught his attention one last time before he walked away.

"Tell Sejanus that I want to meet him in person, if you see him."

Coriolanus nodded, his face still visibly in a grin due to the fact his cheeks were puffed out. I watched as a tall girl with short, strawberry hair - look at me if I were to be one of her first victims..

Outside of the arena.
