Chapter 1

(Lexi's POV)

"Hurry up Lexi, Mom is getting impatient" yelled my brother Jake

"Oh shut up already Jake" I yelled back as I came down the stairs

"God damn, Are you on your period" he joked

"I'm gonna tell mom you said that" I said

"Oh noo. I'm so scared" He laughed

I really hated the fact of moving to New Jersey but my Mom couldn't stand being over here in California because of the recent passing of my Father. I know moving can be good but I really didn't want to leave my friends behind and miss all the fun that they were gonna have here without me. I would stay I really would if I could, but unfortunately my mom wanted to move over there so I can finally meet my aunt. I guess that's a good reason since my aunt really hasn't seen me for almost 16 years... basically my whole life. I then hugged my friends Ana, Missy, and Martin. And said goodbye as a tear slid from my eye down to my cheek

"Ready for the flight" said my mom while taking the luggage out to the taxi

"No, not really" I responded

"Awe is little lex lex scared" Jake mocked hilariously

"Shut up dipshh-" My mom interrupted "Now watch your language you two"

I sighed and started walking towards the airport. I should mention I really hated that my friends scared me by saying that i'm not gonna find friends who ever at Jersey

LATER IN NEW JERSEY

"Wow" I said as my jaw dropped

"Isn't it beautiful honey" said my mom is her sweetest voice possible

"Um its okay not as beautiful as LA" I said not giving in

"So here we are" said my mom as the taxi stopped

It wasn't bad at all the house seemed quite large. I also saw a whole bunch of places to visit while in the taxi. I ran upstairs to go choose my room. I found the perfect one. It had baby blue walls with a dark spruce wood floor. It was boring unpacking but as soon as I finished I went down stairs as fast as I could.

"Here honey take this" she said while handing me 20 bucks

"For what mom?" I asked

"I don't know go down to the pier go visit New Jersey and enjoy yourself"

"Alright thanks mom"

I gave my mom a quick kiss on her cheek and raced to the door. I walked a couple of blocks and found a lot of stores and shops. I stopped as soon as I saw a dance studio. It said in big blue and white letter "ICON Dance Complex" I took a peak through the window. It seemed legit as soon as I backed up a guy came bursting out thus bumping into me.

"Ouch watch it" I said lowering my voice by each word

"Sorry" he said while extending his had out to help me up

"Its ok... umm" I frowned as I grabbed his hand

"Jason my names Jason and yours"

Jasom huh? Well he looked pretty cute and funny but defenitley not my type besides I should have mentioned earlier that I have a boyfriend his name is Martin I think mentioned him earlier and I had to focus on him.

"Lexi" I said while walking away

"Hey hold up... Where to?"

"um... my business not yours"

"Well you look lost and i'm not a rapist" He said while giving me a puzzled look and giggling

"Okay fine. I'm going to the pier" I said giving in and gave him a smile

"Great I was going there too"

"OH well what do you know?"

"Why were you peaking in there anyways. You dance?"

"Yeah... Do you?"

"Yeah... and hey do you want to hang out with some friends at the pier well...the beach, that's why i'm heading over there were having this dance thing between us we have it like once in a while" He said with a giant smile

"Alright sounds fun" I smiled

"So were are you from" he asked

"California"

"Sweet" he responded in a high pitched voice

I guess Jason was pretty cute but then we got to the rest of his friends at the beach and wow they were cute too. "Stop Lexi no guys for now, Martin and only Martin" I said to myself in my head.

"Guys this is Lexi, Lexi this is Madison, Nick, Louis, Thomas, Vinny, and Mi-... Dude were is Mikey. Damn that boy is always late"

"HI guys" I smiled and giggled

"And these are the girls Sarah my sister, Janette and Jennifer"

"Finally another girl" Sarah smiled

I smiled and giggled for a second or two. And noticed Sarah and Jason looked really the same

"Mikey over here asshole" Jason yelled playfully behind me

Then I turned around as my long brown hair whipped the air. "Wow that's Mikey" I said loud enough for the girls to hear.
