(Lexi's POV)

"I'm sorry... I-I c- can explain mom" I said as I started to get scared

"You had me worried sick. I was about to call the cops. I thought you were gonna change Lexi. You've been doing this since your father died. Even in California" she shouted

"She was probably out fucking guys" Jake laughed

"Shut up you stupid dumbass. At least I-"

"Lexi stop. And you Jake shut up and go to your room" my mom cut me off and demanded

"Now take a seat and explain to me where you've been. You told me you were only gonna go to the pier with your new friends and you never came back"

"I know it's because well. You know Mikey right? My friend that I brought over once"

"Uh huh. And what does he have anything to do with this?" My mom asked

"Well he asked me out at the pier and then there was this whole argument with our friends and I stormed out. I was already coming back home but my friends caught up to me and we went to mingle at a party"

"Party? Again? There better not have been any drugs or alcohol at this so called party" my mom freaked

"No mom it was more like a get together and it got late so I stayed at my friends Jennifer's house. I swear there was nothing bad going on last night"

"Look Lexi I know you're having a hard time and all but this better be the last time you do this to me OK? You had me worried and your brother went out looking for you. You also never answered your damn phone."

"I know mom I'm sorry and it won't happen again I promise"

"Okay. But you are grounded. No laptop for a week, and I want to meet your friends. All of them and I want to get to know Mike better if you're gonna start going out with him"

"Its Mikey mom. And okay I'll ask my friends if they would please meet you"

"Oh and you can't go out for a week" she scrolled at me

"What? No mom please? I have my date with Mikey tonight. Mom please don't make me cancel. I really like him" I begged

"How do you know if you really like him. We just got here on the 16th of March and it's only the 24th now"

"I know momma but please just let me go out tonight and I won't go or the rest of The week mom pleeaaasssee" I begged again.

"No Lexi. Go to your room" she demanded

I started to let tears flow down my face.

"I wish dad was here. He would let me go" I shouted and ran up my room

I slammed the door shut and locked it. I couldn't believe her she ruined my date with Mikey. I quickly grabbed my phone from my pocket and texted him

TEXT MESSAGE

Lexi: Mikey... I can't go out tonight. I got grounded ): she said she want to meet all my friends.

So he read it. But never responded. I got tired of waiting for a response so I just layed in bed and eventually drifted off to sleep...

I was holding him close to my side. He was so cute. He was starting to cry but then Mikey came into the room and took him from my hands

"Aww Eliot is so cute isn't he" Mikey smiled

"Um. Yeah of course he is"

Mikey got up and stared into the mirror while holding the baby.
