Iris POV

Early morning I came to work. When I arrived I saw that Wonka was in his office. He was really concentrated in his desk, maybe doing some invention.

I was cleaning and putting some chocolates away when I heard someone enter the store. I spun around and saw my friend James.

"Hello Iris" He said. He is a tall blond man that works in the bank. He has a sweet tooth for candy. He loves candy and he loves talking to me. Well, that what he says.

"Hello James. How are you?" I said. I then felt how two pair for hazel eyes were staring at us from his desk.

"I'm doing great. I was coming on my way to the bank and I wanted to say hello and buy some dark chocolate." He said placing some chocolate on the counter.

"Well then.. Hello."I said smiling. He paid and smile at me.

"We should go out sometime. Maybe dinner?" He asked.

Then we heard a crash on the office and saw Wonka on the floor. He got up and pick up the chair.

"I'm Okay!" Wonka said.

I turned around and kindly smile at James.

"Thank you James. But you know I don't date.." I said.

"Maybe some other time?" He asked.

"Maybe. But please don't wait.Hope we can still be friends" I said.

"Ouch... Okay. Thanks for the hard truth. And yes. We could still be friends." James said walking out the store.

"Well... You broke the fellas heart." Wonka said to me as he leaned on the counter. "I should invent a chocolate for it! Chocolate for the broken heart!" Wonka said as he thought of the great idea.

" Well... Like I told him. I don't date." I said as I walked past him and started to help costumers smiling at them. Wonka was behind me watching everything I did.

"Date like today? What about tomorrow? Do you date tomorrow?" Wonka asked.

"I don't date at all." I said looking at him and not smiling.

"Why not?" He asked walking behind me as I cleaned.

"I just don't." I said.

"That's not a reason." Wonka asked.

"I have my reasons Mr. Wonka. Now please, can you let me run your store? Noodle is coming late." I said.

He frown like a little boy and left. Not before mumbling a few.

"She is so strange! She doesn't like candy. She doesn't date. She is broken" Wonka said. I just rolled my eyes and continued working.

Later that day, Wonka asked me to come to his office.

"Yes Mr. Wonka?" I asked.

"I know you don't eat Candy but I need you to eat this. Is a Candy that makes you happy and you sure need it." Wonka said mumbling the last part.

"I heard that Mr. Wonka."I said analysing the candy in my hand. "But I won't eat it" I said giving it back.

"But whyyyyyy?" He asked groaning.

"Like I said I have my reasons and I would like you to accept that. Now.. I must go. I have things to do." I said.

"Someday... You will try it." Wonka sang.

"Neveeeeer" I sang back.

A few days passed and Noodle and I were talking. When Wonka invited us to get dinner.

"Come on Iris. Let's go!" Noodle said.

"It will be fun." Wonka said winking at me.

"I kind of feel like going home, drink tea and go to bed." I said.

"We will eat dinner and then I will personally take you home." Wonka said.

"Fine..let's go." I said.

We went to a nice restaurant and Wonka opened the door for us. He was a gentleman and everyone was fascinated by him. It felt like they were a moth attracted to a fire.

We had dinner. Willy and Noodle told me the story and how they suffer to open the Candy Store.

"That is why I'm so proud of this store. It was made out of alot of hard work." Wonka said smiling at me.

"That is nice" I said. Willy paid our dinner and we went to home. We walked Noodle first and then Willy asked me where was my apartment.

"Is a block away from the store" I said. Willy offered his arm like a gentleman. I looked at it but he had a smile that I felt bad and took it.

"Where do you live Mr. Wonka?" I asked.

"In my factory. I am doing a big factory in the town. There are still some details that I have to work but I do have a cozy place there where I live. A place full of magic" He said.

"There is no such thing as magic" I said.Willy gasped in shock.

"Of course there is! How can you say something like that?" Willy asked. "Maybe you don't know what is magic or imagination."

"Trust me, I had a lot of imagination growing up. A lot of magic.as well.. My momma favorite phrase was to believe everything is possible. And you know what happened? I believed. When momma died. I believed someone was going to rescue me. But no-one came. No-one rescues you. You have to do it yourself.. You have to work for yourself.. Magic doesn't put food on your plate. Magic doesn't give you shelter on cold nights. Magic doesn't give you company on lonely days. So, no Mr. Wonka. I do know what is magic and what is imagination. I just think that those things are useless...." I said.

"Oh no... Don't say that. Magic is not useless. If there wouldn't be magic or imagination, Wonka Candyshop wouldn't exist. You need to believe in magic and have imagination to be able to work in my store." He said crossing his arms on his chest.

"Then I quit. Goodnight Mr. Wonka" I said turning around and leaving a speechless Willy Wonka outside in the cold.
