I'm outside Veronica's house, It's a straight ten-minute drive but there's a stretch of empty curb a few houses away. I'm pulling up into the driveway behind a silver Audi. and that's when I hear the screams.Fuck.

After the cafeteria debacle, Lio shouted at everyone in sight to get him his keys, Everyone in the cafeteria left the school and is now outside Veronica's House watching everything go down. Some with their phones out recording, others eating their school lunch.

I quickly jog down the lane, skidding to a stop when I spot Lio on the lawn of her house, shouting up at the second-floor window. "Come on, V! Please!"
The man sounds utterly destroyed. I'd probably feel genuine sympathy for him if not for the fact that I know precisely what's going on.

He cheated on Her with my now ExGirlfriend. Whom I've been ignoring. I've been afflicted by the thought that I'd take her back in an instant, so I've been keeping my distance. Her daily apology messages just feel used. Funny how her apology messages don't even consist a simple. 'Im sorry'. Just promises that she's already broken before.

"We'll call the police if you don't leave," Samantha warns. "You're disrupting the peace. People are trying to sleep." I peer up and see two girls at the window, figures backlit by Veronica's bedroom lights.

"It's twelve o'clock on a Monday and this is North Hill!" Lio growls. "Nobody is fucking sleeping, Samantha! Just tell her to come down."

"V! I'm going to stand out here all night until you let me in! Please. We've known each other forever! We owe eachother a conversation at least. You owe me a chance to explain—" A shriek of epic proportions slices through the night air. It's piercing enough to give Dallas a run for his money.

Veronica appears at the window, shoving Samantha and Chloe out of the way. "YOU FUCKED ANOTHER GIRL." I'm solidly on Team Veronica on this one. I mean, I always was, He deserves it. "We're done. SO FUCK OFF"

She's right about that. And call me a perv, but I'm disgustingly aroused by the sight of her right now. Her cheeks are flushed and her light eyes are blazing. She's got a hand on her hip as she glares down at Lio. Fierce and confident. Scorned but not defeated. "Please, give me another chance Let me earn your trust back ," Lio pleads.

"You're done, bro," someone else hollers, and then other voices from the house next door chime in.
"Punch him Already! You're killing my phone storage!"

But Lio only has eyes and ears for Veronica. "You're just overreacting," he informs her. Dumbass.

"Oh really? Let me show you what OVERREACTING LOOKS LIKE," she says angrily. I choke on a laugh as items of clothing come sailing out the window onto the lawn. Some expensive hoodies. Some T-shirts. A pair of boxers float down. "THANK YOU FOR WAISTING EIGHT YEARS OF MY LIFE." She hurls a couple Jordans, and Nike trainers. Almost hitting his head.

She whirls around. Only now she doesn't come back to the window. the front door of her house flies open and Veronica emerges. Holding expensive colognes.
"Get the fuck off my property!"

SMASH!

The Glass collides with the sidewalk, breaking into several pieces. Lio has the nerve to say, "We are so over." Which prompts Her to take a swing at him, and that's when I jump in to pull her away from him. She blinks a few times before her eyes go feral again. "Let me go!" Now she's grunting, and attempting to punch her way out of my grip. So I fling her over my shoulder.

"No. I'm not watching you get arrested for assault tonight, okay?" I kick away a piece of Lio's Boxers, while trying to contain a struggling Veronica. "I don't care!" she says stubbornly. "I think i'd look cute in a mugshot." She throws a harsh glare at Lio.

Only when I reach my STR do I set Veronica down. The moment her feet meet the sidewalk, her steely demeanor seems to crumble. Suddenly she turns into a vulnerable girl, tears welling in her eyes. "He fucking humiliated me," she whispers.

"I know, babe. C'mere." I open my arms, but she ducks her head shamefully.  "I don't want a hug, I want to hit something" she mumbles. "Fine, let's go." all but passing my car, I walk across the street.
"Where?"

"Dallas is having a watch party tonight. You could use the distraction." She hesitates. She glances back where Lio is slowly walking toward his Ferrari. And plasters on a smile "Alright, but you have to promise. You'll stop with the relationship shinanigans"

"I don't trust in promises, I've been fucked over one too many"

"Not by me," she smirks. "How can you forget our pinky promise, Asshole"

"I have a proposition," i smirk,
