Hinata POV:

Hinata didn't know how he got himself into this situation

He was in the changing room getting ready to play in the second set with the rest of the Karasuno team.

Takeada had the brilliant idea of putting him in the team and both sides seemed to agree, Hinata included.

It wasn't until now did he realize what he just signed himself up for.

He got out and started to stretch as the second set began. After getting warmed up he got placed on the court ready to play.

And to put in briefly, he was an absolute mess.

It wasn't until he hit the back of the king's head that he felt true social fear.

Thankfully Tanaka came to give him advice, he thinks.

"In volleyball everyone on this side of the net is your ally. It doesn't matter how much you suck because we can help as long as you don't slow us down. Your classmates, your senpais.

Now call me Tanaka-senpai."

"Tanaka-senpai" Hinata happily said.

The match continued, Hinata feeling much better than before. Especially since Kageyama and him were going to try a quick. Only for him to miss entirely.

But surprisingly he didn't get mad.

Hinata couldn't help but feel proud for him. He may still be a social mess but he was improving.

They tried again and this time he nailed it. And as usual it felt amazing.

"Hinata, Kageyama." Called Daichi.

The team put their fists together "One two yeah!"

"Woooow." Exclaimed Hianata knowing full well that he was visibly shaking with euphoria.

The match continued. They saved, they blocked and they spiked everyone did, like a perfect machine. Hinata  looked down at his palm, it was red and tingling with a slight burning sensation.

He loved it.

"What's the matter, Hinata?" Daichi asked.

It took Hinata a while to respond, after his rather stressful event, playing volleyball with Karasuno seemed to make all of his troubles disappear.

He wasn't the son of a pro hero, the world wasn't messed up, and nobody expected him to be perfect, they knew he was going to make mistakes and still let him play.

He gave Daichi a bright smile. "I'm just really happy to be given this opportunity. And I'm glad I have a team I can trust, I shouldn't have worried in the first place."

He ran back towards the team feeling better by the second.

They won the set and it was now moving on to the final set. Hinata was busy drinking water when he heard the girls who were watching their games start squealing. He turned to see what the excitement was about and saw a tall guy talking to the coach. He only caught one name, Oikawa.

Daichi POV:

Daichi was sure that he wasn't the only one who noticed Kageyama tense as the setter walked. It was clear they knew each other. But regardless of that he was proud of Kageyama for keeping his cool and focus on the game. After all, they were one point away from defeating the Aoba Johsai volleyball team.

It wasn't until the captain of the opposing team came into play did he notice his team's tense.

Oikawa's serve was incredible and insanely strong. Neither Tsukishima nor Hinata could handle their power.
