Chapter 2: Need Help?

Jake POV:

"Kyle!" I yelled and sprinted at him attacking him in a bear hug

"I missed yeah man!" I faked cried. I heard him laugh and shove me off of him. He straightened out his shirt and looked around us.

"Touchy man, don't let no one see that... that's for later." He said with fake wink. I laughed out loud and took his head in a head lock. We where goofing around, fake fighting when we bumped into someone, I heard an 'omf' followed by a whimper, I immediately let go of Kyle to see if I hurt the person I bumped into. I turned around to see Jenna holding her arm on the ground.

"Oh my gosh are you okay?" she looked up at me and her face turned beat red.

"Yeah I'm fine..." she said getting up while rubbing her shoulder.

"Are you sure? Is your arm okay?" she nodded and gave me a small smile before she maneuvered her way around us. I watched as she kept her head down the whole time as she scurried passed everyone, it was sort of cute. I heard Kyle's laugh that snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Dude what the hell was that!" Kyle laughed slapping at his knee. I gave him a confused look.

"What was what?" I asked confused, is it me or has he gone insane?

"The way you actually asked if that girl was okay... the way you watched her run off and you got that goofy smile on your face watching her! It's creepy!" he said still laughing.

"AND YOU"RE BLUSHING!" he yelled pointing a finger at me. I slapped his hand away and rolled my eyes.

"Nah I just know her from the party." I said trying to fight the smile that wanted to come out.

"Oh yeah?" he asked crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow, I don't get how people can do that?

"Yeah."

"She's not someone we talk to." He pointed out.

"She's sweet."I deafened. "and funny." I added.

"Okay. I believe you." He said smirking.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked seriously

"Anything." He said uncrossing his arms and shrugging

"Promise me you won't make fun of my?" he rolled his eyes and nodded.

"Promise. Scouts honor." He said holding up two fingers

"You're not a scout." I pointed out frowning

"man just tell me!"

"Do you think it's possible to have a crush on someone after only talking to them for a couple hours?" I ask nervously.

"Uh-yeah I guess, I mean I don't know, that's not much time to get to know someone bu-wait a minute." He said smirking, uh-oh

"What?" I asked cautiously.

"That girl." He said pointing in the direction Jenna left to.

"You like her? Is this the girl we are talking about?" I just blushed. Man now this girl has ME, JAKE WINTERS blushing.

"You're blushing." He said studying my face.

"I'm just confused. I don't even know he and she isn't someone I usually go for. Why do I fell like this?"

"Maybe it's lave at first sight."

"You're an idiot." I said punching him.
