Chapter 7: Why so Jumpy?

Jake POV

"Are you sure? You're not still sleepy right?" I asked Jenna as I walked her to her next class.

"No I'm fine." she murmured with a blush.

"Jenna. If you're still tired I can just take you home."

"No Jake really that nap was good. Thank You." she said with a kind smile I nodded and watched her walk into her class room. After I saw Jenna was safe and seated I headed back to the other side of the school to my class.

"Why so jumpy Jake?" Kyle asked as he put a hand on my bouncing leg.

"I'm not jumpy." I said starring at the clock.

"Yeah you are. Does this have to do with Jenna?" He asked teasingly. I rolled my eyes at him

"No." LIE! of course this has to do with Jenna; I have next class with her! and we are working together on a project! I can't wait for this stupid bell to ring!

"Liar. When can I meet her man?"

"ehhh I don't know, she is really shy and she gets nervous around peo- eh we should wait just to be safe." I said nodding my head. Yeah Jenna's shy she isn't ready for new people just yet.

"awwww look at little Jakey Wakey getting all protective  of Jenna Wenna." he cooed pinching my cheek. I slapped his hand away and glared.

"Not to be rude but Jenna doesn't like you that much." I said crossing my arms, suddenly his face dropped.

"She doesn't?" he frowned

"Not really, and she likes everyone." I told him.

"Why doesn't she like me?"

"Because of what you said in the hall to me, she said that it was rude," it's true when we talked at lunch she told me I should get a nicer friend and I told her I found her.

"Did you tell her I apologized to you and I didn't mean it." oops never mentioned that.

"No, not yet."

"Tell her!" He yelled at me, punching me in the arm.

"See this is why she doesn't like you." I said pointing at his arm and moving it with a laugh.

BELLLLLL

I jumped up from my seat and ran to the door.

"JAKE!" I stopped and turned to Kyle.

"Your books," He said pointing to the books on my desk.

"Shit." I ran back into the class and ran back down the hall.

"Wait JAKE!"

"Whhhhat?" I whined

"Tell Jenna I said hi." I clenched my fist and nodded before racing to the other side of the school to my locker before class.

"Hey Jake." Jenna said as I plopped down in the seat beside her.

"Hey cutie." I smiled

""Why is your face all red?" she questioned.

"I just ran here from the other side of the school." I pointed out. She gave me an incredulous look.

"You're not even out of breath though." She remarked shocked.

"Perks of football baby. Now let's get to work shall we?" I asked moving her laptop in front of me.

"Yeah. I already looked up some main topics we can do." Jenna said as she pointed to the word document with a bunch of different wildlife topics.

"Wow. Okay great. Ummm what else?"

"Well we should pick out our two topics and then research each one together." she suggested. I nodded and highlighted the two I liked. "Can we do these?" she bit her lip and nodded as she stood up behind my chair. " Alright so let's research baby!" I sang. She giggled and nodded...

~I week later~

Damn I don't think I can do this anymore." I sighed as I scrolled through the endless amount of wildlife facts. Jenna was standing behind me leaning over my shoulder as I felt her hot breath run down my eck.

"Search in habitats!" Jenna instructed in my ear, I chuckled because it tickled.

"Where do I find that?" I asked staring at her and not the screen. "Wait hold on a minute! What' that button?" she asked, confused with a frown on her face. I look over to the screen and had to hold back my smile "See-arch? Click it! See what the heck it dies." I turned around in my seat to look at her smirking,

"Are you being serious right now?" She frowns at what I just said causing me to smirk more. "Wow for someone so smart you sure can be blonde sometimes." I laughed.

"I have blonde hair." She said with a shrug. I laughed again and turned to her.

"The button says 'search' Jenna." Jenna's expression was priceless as it morphed from a frown to realization to embarrassment in all about five seconds. I was crying I was laughing so hard, Jenna stuck her head in the crook of my neck hiding her red face. "You're so cute." I said placing a peck on her head.

"Now let's see-arch this wildlife habitat aye?" I felt her smile into my neck and let out a tiny chuckle.
