Chapter 6

"Where's Ni-ki and Yumi? And who is that?" Jungwon questions as he locks the auditorium door. Dami and Sunoo had confused faces, "Did your little friend get eaten?" Dami snarks, obviously referring to Yumi.

Saewon sighs, completely ignoring Dami. "This is Sunghoon, we found him and his friends and we decided that we're gonna relocate to another location." Jungwon and Sunoo exchange glances, not anticipating the move. "But why? We're doing alright here are we not?" Sunoo asks. "Yeah no I am not going out there!" Dami whines.

"We decided it's way more convenient, we don't have to go through the field everytime we leave, and bonus there are rooms and enough space for everyone hopefully." Heeseung steps in, trying to convince the three of them.

"Where are the others?" Jungwon questions. "They're already at the apartment." Saewon answers.

After much convincing, everyone agreed that the apartment was a much better option, they could even get their own privacy as well. Dami however did not like the suggestion one bit, she was only following the rest as she did not want to be left behind.

"We're here," Sunghoon says as he opens the main entrance, leading the rest up where the others were possibly at. Their journey here was not easy at all. With Dami constantly whining and crying about returning back to school, it had attracted a horde of zombies to the group. As the group tried to outrun them, Dami's constant screaming of fear did not help them one bit.

That was until Saewon threatened to knock her out did Dami stop screaming. Eventually, they managed to lose the horde and here they are, at the apartment more exhausted than ever.

Upon reuniting with the rest, they decided to unpack their items and split into their own rooms, however there weren't enough rooms for everyone which meant they had to share. Yumi was obviously going to share one with Jake. Dami was sharing one with Ni-ki and Sunoo. Heeseung, Jay, and Sunghoon decided to share one as well since they were baseball buddies afterall. That leaves Jungwon and Saewon to the last room.

"We're roommates now! It'll be great to get to know each other," Jungwon says as he sits on his bed, showing his dimples at Saewon. "I'd love to get to know you Jungwon," Saewon smiles back as she begins unpacking her stuff.

FLASHBACK:  Sunghoon POV

As usual after school, Sunghoon had decided to visit the skating rink to fulfil his passion. This time however, his two friends Jay and Jake had decided to tag along. Afterall there was nothing wrong with having supportive friends.

"I'm going to get a drink with Jay, do you want anything?" Jake asks. "Just get me a bottle of water will do, I'm so tired." Sunghoon replies, leaning back onto the chair with his head leaned back. Jake nods and walks away with Jay.

Sunghoon pulls out his phone and opens Instagram, clicking the first story which was Saewon's. It was a picture of her and Yumi together at a cafe. Sunghoon smiles at the picture. "She's so cute," He mumbles to himself. Unbeknownst to Saewon, Sunghoon had also developed a crush on her. However Sunghoon denies his feelings and excuses them as 'platonic'. It's not like Saewon would ever like him right?

As he turned off his phone, about to enter the ice rink again, there was a loud shriek that came from the other side of the rink. Sunghoon turns towards the sound, the sight was horrifying. Right on the opposite end, Sunghoon and the other people present witnessed a person biting the arm of the woman screaming. "What the fuck.. am I seeing this right?" Sunghoon looks around, noticing people are starting to panic. Did he just witness a murder?

"Yo Sunghoon! Here's your water-" Another scream was heard. This time, the woman that had been bit was biting another person. Jake and Jay turned their heads, too confused as to what was going on. Sunghoon on the other hand was too shellshocked. "What the hell is going on?" Jay panics as he sees people starting to run wherever they could. "I.. I think this is a zombie apocalypse-" Sunghoon managed to let out despite his shaky voice. "Well then we have to get out of here don't we!?" Jake was the first to snap out of it. Sunghoon and Jay too agreed, grabbing his phone the only person he could think of right now was Saewon. He had to warn her, he had to tell her what was going on.

He opens her chatbox and presses the call icon.

"Hello? Sunghoon?" He hears Saewon's voice. "Saewon where are you right now? Please tell me quick!" Sunghoon panics, desperate to know where she was. Beep- Beep-

Of course the service had to go out right at that moment. Sunghoon cursed and accidentally drops his phone. As he was about to go back and pick it up, Jay stops him. "Come on Sunghoon we don't have time, leave the phone." Before Sunghoon could protest, he was already dragged away.

Moments later, the State of Emergency siren had gone off, which tells them everything about the situation they're in right now. It has spread throughout the country and they were now on their own until help decides to find them.

The three boys ran to where ever they could with no person in sight and eventually, ended up in the apartment block.

Ever since the first day of the apocalypse, Sunghoon could not get Saewon off his mind. He didn't want to accept the fact that she might be dead by now. He felt like he was about to go insane without any closure.

"It's hard to believe you don't have any feelings for Saewon," Jay comments, noticing how worried his two friends were. "She's like family to me Jay, I don't have feelings for her." Sunghoon replies, denying his accusations. "You're so dense Sunghoon, when are you going to wake up and realise you like her? Anyone could tell except the both of you!" Jake adds on, backing up Jay.

Sunghoon remained silent.

"I don't like her in that way, even so there's no way I could like her, it's gonna destroy our friendship if I do." Sunghoon retaliates. However deep inside, he started doubting himself. Jay and Jake sighs, knowing their friend still has a long way to go.

Do I have feelings for Saewon? Sunghoon kept questioning himself. No way, snap out of it Sunghoon she's your best friend!  He slaps himself for even considering the fact that he likes her.
