Finding Out

Third's POV

Everyone followed Kankuro. Sunagakure received more information than Konoha did.

"It will take us about a week to get to the sound village. Since this is classed as an emergency, I say we only take a few hours rest each night. We will eat food pills if necessary." Kankuro said.

"Is that wise?" Matsuri asked. Kankuro sighed. The others looked at each other.

"Kankuro, we all care for Darci..." Sakura started. Everyone stopped. Kankuro was at the front, his back to the others

"You don't understand....." Kankuro said. The anger was clear in his voice.

"We all want Darci home Kankuro" Shikamaru said. "She is my sister and I care for her so much"

Kankuro began to walk forward. He didn't want to have this conversation. No one knew and he planned to keep it that way.

"What do you know?" Sasuke demanded. Kankuro ignored him.

"Kankuro....?" Sakura asked. Again, the sand ninja ignored his name.

"Let's just get going. We don't have time to waste" Kankuro said before he jumped into the trees and started running. The others followed him, all wondering what he knew and they didn't.

Mika's POV

"Yes Lord Hokage?" Itachi asked. Our team, Shino sensei's and Ino sensei's team were gathered in Lord Hokage's office.

"Your sensei's have been called away, so until they come back, all of you will have a different sensei. Team Ino, you will have Konohamaru sensei, team Shino, you will have Tayo sensei and Team Shikamaru, you will have Kakashi sensei. Meet at your normal training grounds tomorrow. You are dismissed" Lord Hokage told us. We all nodded and left.

"I wonder what type of mission they are on!" Minato said excited.

"An important one if it took more than two jonin" Itachi said in his monotone voice. Minato glared at him.

"Whatever" he replied before walking off. I turned to Itachi with a raised eyebrow.

"What?" he asked. I held my hands up in defense and started walking away.

"Are we, as in you Sachi, and I, looking for more clues later today?" Itachi asked. I shrugged.

"Not sure. I think Sachi is with her team. I was actually going to find Naoto." I said. Halia barked and I chuckled.

"You are one weird nin-kin" I muttered mostly to myself.

"I'll think I'll pass. I might go and do some more training. See you later I guess" Itachi said before he left. I continued walking with Halia to Naoto's training ground. He was there with his team and sensei.

"Nice timing. We are just finishing up" Naoto grinned. I smiled and walked up to him.

"You still up for later?" I asked. Naoto pretended to look offended.

"Of course I am!" he said. I grinned and started walking toward the barbecue place. Naoto was right behind me.

"I heard you got called into Lord Hokage's office. You in trouble?" Naoto asked. I shook my head.

"Shikamaru sensei and a couple of the other jonin are on a mission. We were just getting new sensei's assigned for the time being" I explained.

"Hmm, wonder if mum knows where dad is. When did they leave?" Naoto asked. I shrugged.

"I'm not a mind reader" I stated. Naoto rolled his eyes.

"Come on" he said before we started running.

FEW HOURS LATER

?????? POV

My eyes opened and I found myself in a tent. I wanted to curse but I refrained from doing so. Getting up, I found there to be some fruit by the door of the tent. I picked up and apple and walked out. It was dark outside. Miata was by the fire with Tarou, Michi and Naoki.

"Sleeping beauty awakes" Ryota said from beside me. I turned to him and smiled. He motioned for me to follow him, which is what I did. He led me inside.

"One of us was here while you slept. No one is here now because we set up a barrier jutsu. We also got word. Lord Kankuro and Lady Sakura are on their way with Matsuri, Neji, Shino, Sasuke, Ino and Shikamaru" Ryota told me. My eyes went wide.

"Why is Shikamaru coming here? He shouldn't see her like this" I said.

"At least Kiba or Kakashi sensei aren't coming. We can handle one of them" Ryota reminded me. I nodded.

"You are right" I agreed. I turned and walked over to the glass case that held Darci.

"I hope you are alright" I whispered. I heard Ryota leave, leaving Darci and I alone. Tears started to spill out of my eyes and onto the case.

"You shouldn't have done it. You were an idiot for doing it" I said angrily. I wish I could have stopped her, but with Darci, there was no way of changing her mind after it was made up.

"You have to come back to us. To me, to Kiba, to Akio, to Tatsu, to Rika but mostly, you have to come back to Mika. She needs you. We all need you" I whispered. Closing my eyes, my daughter's face appeared.

"I love you. Please don't hate me" I stated, knowing that she couldn't hear me.
