Wednesday and Enid were still naked on that leather sofa, hugging each other and the heat emitted by Enid allowed them both to enjoy that moment that they would have liked to be eternal, but they knew that the hour would soon begin of the Non-Christmas celebrations, now that darkness has fallen.

Wednesday was tickling Enid's neck with her icy fingertips (which Enid strangely adored), when the blonde let out yet another feline noise, pleased.

Wednesday's heart smiled, but her head realized that Enid would rather never see her family again. She couldn't allow it. She didn't know why, but she now hated the idea of her family not being included in Enid's love.

Why?

-It pains me to say this, but my family is already in love with you. - Wednesday confessed, continuing with her caresses.

-Really? Trying to kill me didn't seem like a way to...- Enid was very doubtful and no one could blame her.

-This is how the Addams show affection, they test you.- She explained to her.

-Well, I guess I failed the test, then. - Enid sighed, resting her head heavily on Wednesday's chest.

-Are you sure?- Wednesday asked her and her question confused her even more. She lifted her face and Wednesday stared at her as if she knew something that she wanted to keep from Enid.

-What do you mean?-

-Let's go back to the hill.- The witch replied, evading the question and forcing Enid to get dressed in a hurry to prepare for the ascent in the sidecar to face.

Once they returned to the Addams villa, their entry was welcomed again by all the members of the family, but the atmosphere was different, they all seemed more deadly serious and even Gomez had stopped playing.

-Mother?- Wednesday turned to the woman, when she saw her getting dangerously close to Enid.

The blonde remained still, staring at the woman with a sincere smile, even if afraid of having attention from her girlfriend's mother.

-Mrs Addams, what's going on?-

The woman took Enid's hand and she shivered at how cold Morticia's palm was.

-My dear Enid, we have a gift for you.-

Wednesday's senses became alarmed, while Enid hoped it wasn't yet another attempt to kill her.

-You are too kind, really, but...- Enid tried to say, but Morticia immediately moved to make room for Wednesday's grandmother, who showed Enid some glasses that she had just enchanted, sacrificing who knows what animal.

Enid had enough of magic, but she trusted the grandmother, thanking her.

As soon as she put them on, the sad, ghostly manor took on color, bright, almost blinding lights filled the great room, and every blade and severed head on the shelves now appeared in the form of something Enid loved, like lightsabers, gummy candies, sweets, Christmas decorations .

-Enid, we can't change who we are, but we can at least make your stay here a little less "macabre".- Morticia explained to her, while Enid couldn't help her smiles full of wonder, like a child.

Turning her gaze on Morticia, then, she could see her more colorful face and her light hair.

-We would never want you to break our little Wednesday's heart, because of us.-

-I'm about to vomit. - Wednesday commented, even though in reality she didn't feel that nausea that attacked her every time her mother tried to express herself.
