Patrick's POV
A/N: Of course I don't own any of the characters and I know none of this actually happened. That's why it's an AU. Enjoy!
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. The noise I dreaded hearing. Monday through Friday, it played at six o'clock in the morning, and every time it went off I wanted to throw it out the window. It was Monday and it's always the worst on a Monday. At 6:10 I finally managed to press the off button and drag myself out of bed. I looked at myself in the mirror hanging on my door and mentally cringed. I've always hated the way I look, but the mornings were always the worst. My sandy blonde hair stuck up in all different directions, bags under my dull blue eyes, the fact that I was so fat. I can't believe I haven't been hunted for my blubber yet. I shook my head and grabbed clean clothes before heading to the shower. I grabbed the shampoo and ran it through my hair. I rinsed it out and quickly washed myself before stepping out. 6:25. I had to be out of the house by 6:50 if I wanted to catch the bus. Even though I was 16, my mother refused to let me drive her car or even buy one. I slipped into some loose fitting light blue jeans with holes in the knees, a black shirt, and white jacket with blue paint splatter. Lastly I put on my black snapback and some black converse. I rushed down the stairs to see my mom gone, of course. She was a nurse and always left before I even got up for school. 6:40. I made myself some corn flakes and scarfed it down. 6:49. I grabbed my bag and raced out the front door. I made it to the bus stop by 6:55 when the bus pulled up a minute later. I got in to see one of my only friends, Brendon, waving me over to sit next to him. I slid into the seat and smiled at him. "Hey Trickster!" He was always so energetic and I loved him for that. "Hey Bren, how's it going?" He smiled and looked down at his hands in his lap, his cheeks bright red. "Oh I get it, you and Dallon had that date." He smirked like he knew something I didn't. "Oh it was more than a date if you know what I mean." "BRENDON" I slapped his arm playfully. He grasped his arm and gave me a playful scowl. The bus pulled in front of the school and we stepped off what I considered the metal death trap. When we walked up to the entrance of the school, Dallon was standing there. Brendon rushed over to him, leaving me in the dust. Dallon wrapped his arms around Brendon and lightly kissed his forehead. They had been dating since freshman year and I absolutely adored their relationship. They made an amazing couple, but I couldn't help but want that with someone else. Someone that accepted me for me like Dallon could for Brendon and vice versa. I knew that wouldn't happen though. I didn't get bullied, but I wasn't popular either. I might as well have been invisible, for people were constantly bumping into me everywhere I went. I could see why people would want to date Brendon. He was good looking, had a fairly nice build, he was extremely kind, and incredibly funny. But me? I'm just me. A nobody. Brendon and Dallon were too entranced complementing each other to notice me walk through the school without them. It was only 7:35 and the bell didn't ring until 7:50. I put my stuff in my locker and grabbed my books for Spanish class. I guess learning languages is one talent that I have. They usually come very easy to me, unless it is Chinese. I tried to learn one sentence for two hours and I wanted to pull my hair out. But let's not talk about that. I slipped into my seat and waited for the classroom to fill up. As I was waiting, I got a pencil and paper out in case we took notes in class. The warning bell rang at 7:45 and more people trickled into the classroom. Unfortunately my other two friends, Andy and Joe, didn't have Spanish until fourth period so I was all alone. I picked up my pencil and began following the patterns on the desk, filling in the lines. It was a bad habit of mine, but I couldn't help it. I ended up drawing a face that looked like a crappy version of a penguin. Before I could make anything out of it, the bell rang. The teacher walked into the room. "Hola clase! Hoy tenemos un examen sorpresa!" The whole class groaned, including me. The one thing I forgot to study over the weekend. I mentally smacked myself. Today was going to be a long day.
A/N: Hey guys! This is my first Peterick fic and I hope you enjoy it! :) I know the first chapter probably isn't the most interesting, but please bear with me. I will most likely be updating once or twice a week so look out for that. But anyway, thanks for reading! :)
P.S. Hola clase! Hoy tenemos un examen sorpresa means hello class. Today we have a pop quiz or surprise quiz.
