Eventually We ended up perched on the rusted roof, our feet swinging over the edge, and our shoulders lightly brushing. We sat In silence for the longest time, and I think We were both content with that. He spoke up gently, not wanting to pester.
'I knew you'd come. I had a gut feeling.' He didn't look at me as he said this, which for some reason infuriated me. He didn't know Anything about last night yet me can say that?
' I may not know What happened - but it happened for a reason.' He spoke again, but this time trying to calm my Now tense nerves. A bitter and unexpected laugh fell from my lips. It was forced and dry.
'Yes, because you know all things don't you?' My tone was harsh and sarcastic - hoping to leave a burn. His head shot my way, a slightly drop of his jaw, and shock filling his eyes told me I succeeded. This always happen, next the person would get up and leave, leaving me In the dust and alone. He shook his head. Mumbling something I didn't even hear from our small distance. I looked at him confusedly, arching an eyebrow.
'What?' I asked In a dull voice. He looked at me before Shrugging his shoulders, and simply stating.
'Your afraid.'
