Later that day
Bianca Azuni Rowe
15 years old

Bianca entered her uncle's house, the smell of jamaican spices already familiar to her.
Making her way to the kitchen, finding solace in the worn-out kitchen chair, she pulled out her tattered journal. Her parents got it for her after her brother died, since her therapist insisted
writing her feelings down would help.

Thoughts of the mystery boy consumed her, as she began to write, the pen moving swiftly across the paper.
"Today was different", she wrote, capturing the essence of her confusion. Her mind raced as she tried to make sense of the inexplicable familiarity she felt. "Who is he and why does it feel like I've known him forever, even though our eyes only met today?"
Bianca's words etched onto the pages, creating a visual symphony of her thoughts.

Outside the window, the Chicago streets maintained their rhythm. The muted sounds of laughter and banter from the people gathered on the corner, filtered into the kitchen. The neighborhood's pulse seemed to synchronize with the beats of her heart.
As Bianca continued to write, the room started feeling like a sanctuary of her introspection, a place where she could unravel her thoughts.

"It's like he's a missing piece of a puzzle I didn't know existed," she confessed on the worn pages, the simplicity of her words, belying the complexity of her emotions.

The door swung open, breaking the stillness of Uncle Jah's home. Bianca's eyes flicked toward the entrance, catching the sight of six boys.
True Religion jeans hugged their frames, complemented by oversized tees, some of them even wearing jewelry, a mix of gold chains.
Their presence exuded a raw confidence that mirrored the urban pulse of the neighborhood.

Confusion etched itself across Bianca's face as she observed the sudden entrance, their laughter fading into a hushed silence. Her eyes scanned each of them, taking in every detail of their attire. A mix of curiosity and apprehension could be seen in her eyes, uncertain about the unexpected guests.

The room fell into an awkward pause, as the boys, once animated in conversation, redirected their attention towards her. Their eyes, filled with a mix of intrigue and scrutiny, looked onto Bianca. Yet, amidst the collective gaze, her eyes met Dayvon's, the mystery boy from earlier, whose she has yet to learn the name of.
The room remained silent, as an unspoken understanding hung in the air, intensifying the confusion that swirled within Bianca.

Uncle Jah's steps could be heard down the stairs, his eyes shifting between the boys and Bianca, who all shared the same expression. Confusion could be read all over their faces. This wasn't a surprise; the group often showed up unannounced.
Uncle Jah, catching the drift of confusion in the air, decided to break the silence. "Look who decided to drop by today," he grinned, his eyes still glancing between the boys and his niece. "Y'all lil niggas ain't think of giving me a heads up before showing up at my crib?"

Bianca, still figuring out the unexpected scene, shot a perplexed look at her uncle. The boys, suddenly aware of Jahseh's presence, shifted their attention, exchanging curious glances. With a chuckle, Uncle Jah continued,
"Looks like I got some explaining to do, huh?" His words cutting through the awkward silence, bringing a familiar ease to the unexpected convergence in his home.
