Weiss Schnee x Male reader: Mending a Cold Heart

Y/N POV

Morning has come and Lena and Elias were training with each other. Lena swung her sword down, to be blocked by Elias' mace.

Ruby: Training hard?

Ruby came from behind.

Mace swung his mace at Lena. Lena hand covered in a black aura and caught the mace before tripping Elias, making him fall straight on his back, the mace falling right next to him. Lena extended her hand out and helped Elias up.

Lena: Too predictable.

Elias: You're just too good.

Lena: Brute force isn't always the answer. Strength doesn't matter if you can't make contact with the enemy.

Osana: You've all improved since Beacon. I'm impressed with the progress. But is it enough?

Lena: What do you mean?

Osana let out a smile.

Osana: I want you all to come at me. Land just 1 hit on me and I'll consider a victory for you kids.

Elias: Sounds fun.

Lena: You in, Y/N?

I looked at Weiss who smiled at me.

Y/N: Sure let's do it.

Lena: I doubt Mia would he interested. I don't even know where she is.

Elias: Just let her be. She'll show up sooner or later. She always have before.

Osana: Ok. Come at me whenever.

Elias ran at Osana with me following close behind him. Elias swung his mace for his mace to be kicked aside and an elbow to the chest making him fly back. I went to the side dodging Elias' body. I aimed my fist at her. She caught the fist.

Osana: You're going to have to do better than that, Y/N.

She went for a knee. I blocked it with my other arm and pushed her back. She quickly regained her composure and aimed a kick to my side, knocking me to the right. Lena jumped over me and thrusted her katana. Osana jumped to the right and went to punch Lena on the face. Katana's pressed a button on her hold, splitting the Katana into 2 and used one to block the punch while swinging the other one. Osana moved her head just in time, the katana slashing where Osana's ear used to be. Osana kicked her back.

Osana: That was close.

Yang: No matter how you look at it, Osana is stronger and the better fighting.

Weiss: Maybe, individually. But together, they can pull of things they could never do by themselves.

Flickering was heard from the air. A wave of fire came right towards Osana. Osana jumped back and looked at where the fire was coming from and Mia jumped down, swinging her knife. Osana punched Mia away and brought out her claws.

Lena: Decided to join the fun, have you?

Mia looked at her before looking back to Osana.

Mia: You're the leader, Y/N. And you know your mother better than anyone here. I nodded

Y/N: Just one hit...and she'll declared it out victory...

Y/N: Mia, Lena. I want you 2 to keep her claws off of us.

Mia/Lena Got it!

Lena and Mia ran to the left and right of Osana respectively. Osana swung her Katana while Mia used her knife. Osana blocked both attacks and kneed Mia away and punched Lena back.

Y/N: Elias!

Elias: Right!

Elias ran and threw his mace at Osana. Osana caught the mace by the handle. Elias pressed the button to retrieve his mace. Osana was caught off guard as the mace started to drag her. Elias continued his run, attempting to punch Osana while she was still caught off guard. Osana regained her composure and let go of the mace to jump back. Elias grabbed his mace and swung at her. While Lena and Mia came from the sides.

Osana: So this is how team FLME works together.  

Osana activate her semblance and blasted Elias away, while blocking Lena's blade and catching Mia's arm. I saw this opportunity and activated my semblance and ran at her. She noticed me and pushed Lena and Mia away. She grabbed my wrist and aimed right at my face. I ducked and swiped up. She avoided her elbow made contact with my gut. I grabbed her arm and swept her from under her feet. I took this chance and swung my fist down. She pushed her hand off the ground and jumped away from me. Mia conjured up a big ball of fire and shot it at Osana. Osana swung at is dispersing it. Lena, who was following behind the ball swung her katana. Osana was didn't have a lot of time to think. She grabbed the katana and kneed Lena in the stomach. Lena stood her ground and went for a punch. Osana went to block it when Elias shot a gust of wind and Osana, catching her off guard. She swung her hand knocking Lena's arm away. I jumped over Lena and knocked Osana away with my hand. Osana just stood there for a second before looking at us.

Osana: Good job. You win.

Everyone was worn out from trying to land a hit on her.

Osana: Excellent team work. I can't wait to see how you all grow.

Weiss: You did great, Y/N.

Weiss handed me a water bottle which I gratefully accepted.

Y/N: Thanks, snow angel.

Weiss blushed a bit and looked away before looking at me and smiled.

Qrow: Are you done playing with the kids, Osana?

Osana: I was training them, Qrow. I'd hardly call that "playing".

Qrow: Yeah yeah. Come on, Oz wants to speak with us.

Osana: Tell him I'll be there in a minute.

She looked at us.

Osana: You all did great. Rest up.

Elias: Don't have to tell me twice.

Lena looked up at the bright blue sky, basking in the sunlight.

Mia: You're sure easy to relax.

Lena: Come on, wouldn't anyone be after all that?

Osana smiled and walked inside.

I sat against the wall, Weiss next to me.

Y/N: Mom's as strong as ever.

Weiss leaned her head against my shoulder.

Weiss: You all won the spar though...

Y/N: Yeah...but in a real fight, we wouldn't stand a chance. I need to get stronger.

Weiss: You're pushing yourself to hard. She told you all to get some rest.

Y/N: Yeah...you're right.

I looked at my teammates and smiled before looking at Weiss who still has her head on my shoulder.

Still...we have a long road ahead...
