SURPRISE | TWO
Jujutsu High was a rather quiet school compared to most, especially in the later times of evening. When the sun began to set, golden hues of light would leak through the glass windows and paint everything it touched with its warm colors. The darkening sky told the critters it was time to settle for the night, similar to how it told the staff to clock out until next dawn.
With the third and second years out for their own reasonings, it was up to the two fairly new first years to keep the school alive. Only, one of them preferred the relaxing silence. The other did not.
Yuuji Itadori, Sukuna's recently found vessel, stood outside Megumi Fushiguro's room, and his fist knocked repeatedly against the hollow piece of wood.
"Fushiguro, Fushiguro, Fushiguro, Fushiguro," He continuously called out, up till Megumi caved in and open the door.
"What do you want?" He grumbled, and caught Itadori's wrist before it could land against his chest.
"Hey, you're awake! Can I see what your room looks like?"
"What?"
"Your room, can I see?"
Such a request had good intentions inspiring it. Yuuji had been unpacking his boxes all day— with many breaks in between— but he couldn't situate it to his liking. Nothing fit the way he wanted, and he needed ideas for his own aesthetics to arise.
Patiently, he waited for an answer. Though, Megumi said "No," and nearly broke his enthusiastic heart.
"Huh— please?"
"No."
Megumi moved to close his door, trying to hint at the fact he didn't want to carry on the conversation.
Yuuji, however, didn't seem to get it. He pushed back the shutting door, and practically begged for an ounce of attention. "Can you at least hang out with me? Sukuna is driving me crazy, and I have no one to talk to."
"Not today," Megumi sighed. "Maybe tomorrow."
With that last comment, Yuuji was left to his own self out in the darkening hall. His posture slouched, and he pouted at the closed door. 'Man, I wish there was someone here to keep me company.. Fushiguro is kinda mean..'
He waited a short while in hopes Megumi would have a change of heart, but no signs led to his wishes. Yuuji decided to give up, and return to his messy, lonely, sunlit room, even if he rather be anywhere else. His hands stuffed into the pockets of his verdant sweater, and his feet dragged against the wooden floors with slow, heavy, steps.
