THE BRIGHTEST OF STARS SHOULD BE KNOWN BY THIER TRUE NAMES | THREE
The next morning, Akino awoke with a sweet message from her mother. The bright sun in the sky seemed to not bother her amber eyes, it was more comforting than disquieting.
She decided to dial her mother before crawling out of bed, and the two caught up on the short amount of time they spent apart. It was when a tall white haired man decided to barge into the girls room that the phone call turned into a three way conversation over speaker.
"And then he just left me, mama!" Akino complained, filling her mom in on how Gojo embarrassed her, and left her to look stupid.
"Even if that were true, which it's not, Akino is leaving out the part where I was super sweet and fixed up her dorm. Did I even get a thank you? No, no I did not." Satoru innocently teased the girl while he pushed her aside, and took a seat atop her bedding. "I think we need to work on her manners some more."
Akino moved to sit up in bed. Her legs crossed under the sheets, and she leaned against the back wall for support. "Don't fall for his tricks. I did say thank you, and I even gave him a hug."
Mizuki sipped on her hot mug of tea with a hum, simply just enjoying how her two members of family argued lightly over meaningless topics.
"Oh, children, must you always be picking on one another?" She laughed softly.
Both Akino and Satoru pouted like the children Mizuki suggested they were. Their arms crossed, the huffed loudly, and looked in opposite directions. They were too focused on muttering useless insults under their breaths, they failed to notice the boy now standing in the open doorway.
"You two look stupid," Megumi grumbled. His hair was up in the usual mess it was, and he seemed to already be dressed in his school uniform. Unlike the other two first years, Megumi was prepared to go to the train station like planned. "You guys do realize we have to leave soon, right?"
"Oh dear, that poor girl is gonna be left waiting!" Mizuki gasped, the older woman being the only one to remember the group's plan to pick up the last student. "Akino, get yourself up and ready! Satoru, you need to wake up that other boy."
"O— yes ma'am," The shouted in unison, and began to scramble to where they needed to be.
Mizuki shared everybody her love and farewells before hanging up the line, and the two males left Akino to her own self.
With that, she pulled out her newly designed uniform from the dresser drawers Satoru placed them in. The girl slipped on the navy blue, baggy styled, shorts to her waist, the thicker fabric stopping below her knees.
