Chapter 8

Author POV

The first store the boys went into was a baby store with a bunch of toys and baby necessities.

"Okay, so I did some research and I learned that there are age ranges for when you're in littlespace." Yeonjun told Soobin, trying not to talk too loud so nobody around them could eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Okay..." Soobin said slowly, waiting for Yeonjun to continue.

"And I think your range is 2-4."

"Okay, so what does that mean?" Soobin asked.

"It means we have to find stuff for these age ranges." Yeonjun said, picking up a basket to put their stuff in.

Soobin nodded and followed Yeonjun deeper into the store. Yeonjun stopped in front of the infant and toddler section to look at the bottles and pacifiers.

"Do you use pacifiers often when you're at home?" Yeonjun asked Soobin, but he assumed he did because he tends to suck on his thumb a lot when in little space.

Soobin nodded and Yeonjun showed him four different sets of pacifiers. The first was all different shades of blue, the second was all neutral colors, the third had car designs on them, and the last one had animals on them.

"Pick two," Yeonjun told him.

"The blue and the animal one."

Yeonjun nodded and tossed them into the basket.
"What color sippy cups do you want?"

"Blue and yellow."

Yeonjun looked for sippy cups in those colors and threw them in the basket.

"I guess we could start off small and shop some more later. Let's go look at some toys." Yeonjun grabbed Soobin and walked him to where the toys were.

"Woah." Soobin's eyes brightened seeing all the toys. "You can get anything you want," Yeonjun told him.

"Anything...?" Soobin asked, looking at Yeonjun.

Yeonjun smiled and nodded. Soobin smiled back and went straight for the coloring books.

Soobin didn't pick a lot of toys. He mostly picked coloring books. But while he was looking for what he wanted he came across this stuff animal. It was a bear. He loved it so much he fell into his headspace.

"Okay, let's go pay now." Yeonjun put out his hand for Soobin to take. Soobin grabbed his hand and they both walked up to the register.

"Oh wow, who are all these toys for?" The lady working at the register asked.

Soobin panicked a little and squeezed Yeonjun's hand. "It is for my baby cousin. His birthday is coming up." Yeonjun told the lady.

"Oh wow, I think after this you're going to be his favorite cousin." The lady said, laughing a bit.

Yeonjun laughed and Soobin smiled.

'Yeonjun is so smart...'

Yeonjun paid for all the stuff and they left the store. "Oh dang it, I forgot to buy bibs..." Yeonjun said, shaking his head. "I'm going to go buy some real quick do you want to come back in with me or stay out here?"

Soobin looked back into the store and saw it was getting a bit crowded. "I want to wait here."

"Are you sure?" Yeonjun asked him and Soobin nodded. "Do you feel little?" Soobin nodded again.

Yeonjun remembered seeing the bibs next to the register. "Okay well, stay here I won't be long." Yeonjun handed him the bags and went back into the store.

Soobin watched people as they walked past him. While watching, he saw this man selling candy walking by.

'I want candy'

He followed the man trying to stop him to buy some candy. He lightly tapped the guy on the shoulder and the guy turned to look at him. "Would you like to buy some candy?" The guy asked.

Soobin nodded "Okay, everything on this cart is 2 dollars."

'Oh... I don't have any money.'

"But I don't have any money..." Soobin said, pouting. The guy laughed at Soobin and shook his head.

"I'll let you get a candy for free, but don't tell anybody." Soobin smiled and picked a candy out of the cart.

"Thank you." Soobin told the guy.

The guy smiled and walked off.

'I wanna show Yeonjunnie." Soobin turned thinking he was going to see the store. But he noticed he was in a different part than from where he was before.

"Oh no..." he was scared. He started to tear up.

He tried walking back to where he came from, but he was starting to drop deeper into his headspace and started getting confused.

"Yeonjunnie..." he whispered.

He found a bench and sat down on it, putting the bags next to him. "Yeonjunnie." He sobbed.

"Bin!"

Soobin looked up surprised 'someone, calling my name.'

Soobin got up, sniffling a bit and grabbed the bags, starting to walk to where he heard his name coming from.

"Bin!" He could hear it loud and clear now. He started to walk faster and saw Yeonjun looking around with a scared look on his face.

"Yeonjunnie!" He yelled, happy that he had found him. Yeonjun looked to where he heard his name and smiled in relief when he saw Soobin "Binnie!" He ran towards Soobin and pulled him into a hug.

"Oh my God I was so worried."

"Binnie?" Soobin asked, confused.

"Hmm?" Yeonjun pulled away from Soobin a little to see what was wrong.

"Binnie, you never call me that before."

"Do you not like it?" Yeonjun asked.

"No." Soobin said, shaking his head with a pout.

"Oh I'm-" Yeonjun was about to apologize to Soobin, but.

"I love it." Soobin said, smiling.

Yeonjun shook his head, smiling "You scared me..." Yeonjun tickled Binnie's side, getting a laugh out of him.

"Aww your so cute Binnie." Yeonjun cooed and kissed Binnie's cheek.

"You never do that before either," Binnie said, smiling.

"Do you like it?" Yeonjun asked, pulling away from their hug and taking Binnie's hand.

Binnie nodded "Yeonjunnie, we done shopping now?" This shopping trip really drained him.

"Yeah, do you want to eat before we go back to work?" Yeonjun asked, walking to the exit still holding Binnie's hand.

"Mhm!"

"Pizza?"

"Yes!" Binnie said, squeezing Yeonjun's hand in excitement.

Yeonjun smiled at Binnie's cuteness and kissed the side of his head. "Then let's go baby."

So I wanna explain some things about Soobin for when he's in his little space. When he in his little space Yeonjun will call Binnie and I will refer to him as Binnie. Also when he in his little space when he talks it won't be a proper sentence if you get what I mean. That all I wanted to say thanks for reading🙏🏾
