It was Dan Oh, of course. The only one who could crash a peaceful scene like a tornado and still manage to steal the spotlight without even trying. This time, she wasn’t alone—the tall boy from school was lingering near her, looking less confused than usual. Which honestly was suspicious, because when was he ever not lost?

“Wow, look who decided to show up,” Saemi’s voice cut through the air like a sharp knife, cheeky grin wide enough to blind anyone. She shot the question directly at Aeil, who stood cool and unbothered, flicking her hair like the queen she was.

“Is there a secret meeting I don’t know about?” Saemi teased, leaning in with a mischievous glint.

Aeil just smirked, “I’m a little offended, but let’s forgive them… since they’re our friends.” Her tone was dripping with sweetness and venom, like honey with a side of cyanide.

Yeona’s skin crawled. Stupid little girls, always lurking like pesky flies around their favorite eye candies.

“Honestly,” Yeona snapped, “I’d prefer if you stayed mad at us. Maybe don’t talk to us for a while. Or, better yet, forever.”

Baek Kyung glanced at her with that sly amused smile and slid his hand possessively over her shoulder. “Yeah, honestly, that sounds perfect.”

Saemi’s face went beet red, stammering as she yanked a stunned Aeil away. “W-we gotta go,” she muttered, cheeks burning, “before we embarrass ourselves more.”

Yeona rolled her eyes so hard she thought they might fall out.

Then, out of nowhere, that smooth honey voice drifted over.

“That was rude, but I approve.”

Yeona turned to see Lee Dohwa standing there, that infuriating smirk permanently glued to his face. Next to him was Oh Namjoo, his eyes narrowed like a hawk eyeing prey, glancing suspiciously at Baek Kyung’s hand casually resting on Yeona’s shoulder.

Namjoo squinted and deadpanned, “I think you need glasses. Your fiancée’s behind you, not beside you.”

Yeona gave him a glare cold enough to freeze hell. “And I think you need to shove your ugly nose back into your own business.”

Namjoo scoffed. “Excuse me? A few days ago you were one of my crazy fangirls. Now you’ve got some sort of enlightenment?”

“Excuse me, but my nose is—”

“You’re excused,” Yeona cut him off with zero mercy.

Namjoo rolled his eyes, biting back whatever snarky comeback was brewing, matching her glare like a champ.

Dan Oh jumped in excitedly, “You know what? Le—”

“No, we don’t know,” Namjoo grumbled, cutting her off with all the enthusiasm of a grumpy cat.

Dan Oh blinked, stunned, before getting insulted by Yeona’s infamous menace mode.

“Then why don’t you shut those duck lips and listen to her,” Yeona snapped, crossing her arms like a CEO.

“Wha—”

“Wait! Let me finish, please,” Dan Oh begged, flapping her hands like a trapped bird. “As I was saying, since we all know each other already—”

“Obviously,” Baek Kyung interrupted, flashing playful looks around like he was the ringmaster of this circus.

“Why don’t we all hang out? Go to a café or something?” Dan Oh asked with hopeful puppy eyes.

Yeona’s answer was short and savage: “No.”

But even the most stubborn wall eventually cracks under the power of Baek Kyung’s charm.

He slipped his hand from her shoulder down to her waist, pulling her close enough to make everyone’s hearts stop. His lips lowered near her ear, voice a low purr dripping with mischief.

“Don’t forget you still owe me for this morning.”

Goosebumps exploded down Yeona’s arms. Her ears burned red as she tried to fight the storm brewing inside.

“Fine,” she groaned, “but don’t make me regret this.”

Baek Kyung smirked, noting the tiny crack in her armor. A few seconds to change her mind, he thought smugly.

“Let’s go!!!” Dan Oh practically bounced as she pranced toward the exit, dragging Coconut Tree (her loyal sidekick) behind her.

“Wife her up,” Dohwa called after Baek Kyung, winking.

Namjoo, trailing behind, shot back with a grimace, “You have disgusting taste in girls.”

Yeona clenched her fists, muttering under her breath, “Lord, keep me steady today. Give me strength not to behead anyone.”
