Heart-Strings

CH 9

Izumi sighed.

Today was the UA assessment.

Even though it was today, she didn't feel as nervous as she thought she would.

She paused, loving the breeze.

"Now it wants to be cold."

She smiled into her scarf as the thought made its way into her mind.

It wasn't as cold for the past week, and she wasn't sure if it was going to be so for today, so she was glad she came prepared with a scarf and a sweater.

She looked up from her phone to glance at the sky.

The sky is beautiful.

The sunrise shown itself in a magnificent view.

She smiled softly to herself.

The beach was cleaned and the view that accompanied it was more magnificent than she had thought it was to be.

The sunrise glistened on top of the sea as the ocean, itself, formed a lovely, shiny, blue-ish orange colour.

She quickly pulled out her phone to, both, take a picture and record the view that was in front of her.

"This was definitely worth it"

Her smile got wider at the thought.

"Good morning Izumi." Shouto said smiling, while putting his phone away.

Izumi turned her head from her phone to Shouto.

She looked confused, almost wondering what he was doing here at the moment.

She smiled at him while putting her own phone away, blushing slightly from his sudden presence.

"Good morning Shouto-kun!" She lightly jogged to him.

"What are you doing here? I thought you said you were doing the runs until you did the UA assesment?" Izumi asked while looking up to talk to the boy in front of her.

Shouto nodded.

"Yes, today is the UA assessment for you, isn't it?" He asked, looking down at the girl while smiling.

Izumi nodded happily.

"yep! I'm so excited! I thought I was going to be nervous, but I'm more excited than I thought!" Izumi laughed near the end.

Shouto nodded to show his understanding of her words.

Izumi smiled at that, a soft smile, while looking at Shouto.

"How he nods his head is adorable, it looks like a little puppy!"

Izumi suddenly laughed at the thought, only to be met with Shouto and his confused expression.

She smiled.

He looks too adorable for his own good.

"Never mind, I was just laughing at a thought I just had!" Izumi brushed it off.

"Anyways, what are you doing here? You still haven't answered my question." Izumi pouted looking at Shouto.

It's been about 7 weeks since Izumi first saw Shouto, almost 2 months, and it has been 5 weeks since she first actually had an actual conversation with him.

She felt as if she could finally act normal around him after their little date 2 weeks ago, which she didn't really plan for.

She wouldn't say it was a date but, Rei, Shouto's mother would surely think of it as that.
