It was now only a week until the wedding and Seokmin was currently at Kingdom Sapphire hanging out with Joshua.

"Hey love?" "Yes?" "Do you want to go into town today?" "Sure."

They headed downstairs and as soon as they were about to leave they saw the looks on everyone's faces. "What's going on?" Joshua asked very confused.

"The queen died this morning." A servant nearby responded. Joshua wanted to reply but knew what he would say wouldn't be nice so he kept his mouth shut.

The king had walked out of one of the rooms and comforted a nearby servant. Noticing Joshua and Seokmin he makes his way towards the two boys. "Ah Joshua. Seokmin. Hello. I'm guessing you just heard the news." "Yes father."

"Look I don't expect you to be even remotely upset about her passing." "Good cause I wasn't going to be." "But I hope you let everyone have this time to grieve. Remember not everyone knows what happened so be mindful." "I hope she rots in hell." "Joshua." "Sorry sorry, I just wanted to get that out of my system." "Fine but be careful when talking like that in front of other people." "Yes father."

"Just so you know I am hosting an event later for your mother's passing. It's for the people that are grieving and don't know what happened. I expect you to be there even though I know you don't care." "Fine. What time will it at?" "6:00" Joshua checks his watch. "That's in 2 hours." He turns to Seokmin. "Guess we're not going into town today." "That's fine love. We can go back up to your room and wait if you'd like." "Yeah okay."

The two of them head back up to his room and sat there for a while until Jeonghan walked in. "Hey I just heard what happened. Is she really dead?" "Yeah." "Oh thank god." Jeonghan whispered under his breath. "Pfft I had the same reaction." Babe that's a little insensitive." "Yeah I know that's why I never said it out loud, but baby you got to understand me. That woman hurt our family, especially our father. I'll never forgive her for that."

"Look I understand that but it's still a little rude." "Ugh fine. I'll just talk shit with Jeonghan when nobody else is here then."

Seokmin gave up on trying to talk sense into his boyfriend. There was no way to get him to stop talking I'll of his mother. Sure he doesn't blame him and gets that he is upset with her, but there are people who still care about her.

"Okay moving on. We have 2 hours to kill. What should we do?" "To be honest I want to take a nap." "I'll go back to my room then." "Bye." Jeonghan then leaves back to his room leaving the two.

Joshua set his alarm clock for an hour and a half later so he wakes up in time for the event.

The two then fell asleep.

*2 hours later*

Seokmin and Joshua were up and ready waiting for the event to start when Seungcheol and his family walked in.

"Hey guys." "Hey Cheol." Seungcheol's father said hello and left to find the twins' father. "I say it's karma." Seungcheol said as soon as his father left. "Right?! That's exactly what I said!"

They continue to chat until the rest of their friends showed up and Jeonghan came downstairs.

"I am shocked that karma waited this long to bite her in the ass." Seungkwan said making them all chuckle a little. "I feel like it waited until we got engaged to rub it in her face that we are just fine without her." Jeonghan says.

"Good riddance." Joshua says before looking toward his father who was approaching.

"Hello boys." The boys all exchange hello's with the man. "How are you guys feeling?" "A bit relaxed actually." Minghao says to which they all nod in agreement.

"Well that's good. I don't expect you guys to be grieving or anything. It's not like you knew the woman." "Or that we like her." Wonwoo chimes in. "Yeah that too. Just be mindful of the other people here."

The king turns to walk away but Joshua stopped him. "Why can't everyone know how much of a shitty person she was? I mean seriously why are we keeping this from them?" "Because they always saw the nice side of her and I'd like to keep it that way."

"Why are you protecting her? She left this family like we were nothing to her and you're just letting her get away with that?"

"Joshua can we not talk about this now when there's a ton of people showing up soon." "No dad, Jisoo has a point." Jeonghan joins in. "She hurt you. People need to know that. We can't have them continuing to believe that she was some saint. People need to know."

Their friends kept looking back and forth between the three of them. Wondering who was gonna say what next.

"I'll tell them but not today." "No you will tell them today. I don't need them leaving thinking highly of her." "I just don't want this to ruin anything. Jeonghan and Seungcheol's wedding is soon. I want everyone to know at least after that." "Alright alright fine. Just don't expect me to pretend to grieve in front of people."

"Jisoo please." "She was never in my life. How can I grieve a woman I don't know? How can I even pretend to grieve someone I don't know?"

"I just want you to be mindful of other people who don't know her like we do; so can you at least pretend to be sympathetic? She was still your mother after all. She tried her best to raise you even a little after she left."

"Tried? She wasn't here! She was never fucking here! She left us! I can't just let that go to make someone feel better. How am I supposed to "grieve" a woman that was never in my life that I don't even care about? Tell me dad. How?" Joshua sounded so defeated at the end that even his own brother couldn't relate to how he felt.

"I know that Jisoo. I don't expect you to grieve for her. I just want you to respect that there are people who are. I know she wasn't here for most of your life and I know you don't care about her because of that. I don't expect you to." "Good because I never will." With that Joshua leaves. Junghoon sighs, apologies to the rest of the boys, then goes to talk to some of the servants. Jeonghan goes to find Joshua after his dad walked away while greeting guests that just walked in.

It didn't take long to find him though since he always goes to the same place when upset. The rose garden.

It looks though like someone beat him there to comfort Joshua.

You see as soon as Joshua left someone else left right after. That person being Seokmin.

When seeing Seokmin with Joshua, Jeonghan decided to leave them be and went back inside.
