Violet woke up to the bright sun shining in through the window. She looked over to see Cedric staring at her.
"Morning, beautiful." Cedric greeted.
"Why are you staring at me?" Violet asked.
"Am I not allowed to admire my gorgeous girlfriend while she's sleeping?" Cedric asked.
"I suppose you could." Violet said. "But, it's a little creepy."
Cedric chuckled. "How did you sleep?" He asked.
"Alright, I guess." Violet answered as she got out of bed. "I'm going to freshen up a bit."
"I'll see if breakfast is ready." Cedric said. "Holler, if you need help with anything. Or Hermione or Ginny, if you're more comfortable with that."
Violet nodded.
Cedric made his way downstairs to the kitchen. All of the adults were up, but none of the kids except him. It was still pretty early.
"Morning." Cedric greeted everyone. He immediately took notice of two people who were basically two carbon copies of Harry and Violet, only they looked a little older.
"Cedric, this is Lily and James Potter." Remus introduced. "Cedric is friends with Violet and Harry."
Cedric didn't need an explanation on who they were. He'd seen pictures of them.
"It's nice to meet you, Cedric." Lily said.
"You guys, as well." Cedric said before turning to Remus. "Can I talk to you for a moment?"
Remus nodded and they went into a separate room.
"I just wanted to let you know that Violet is up." Cedric said.
"Alright. I'll go talk to her." Remus said, before heading upstairs to Violet and Cedric's room. He knocked on the door. "Violet, can I come in?" He asked.
"Just a moment." Violet answered. "Come in."
Remus walked into the room and saw Violet with Hermione and Ginny. He guessed Violet needed help getting dressed. He figured he would just tell them all.
"Good morning, Remus." Ginny greeted.
"Morning." Remus said. "Violet, I need to tell you something."
"What's wrong?" Violet asked. Remus hesitated.
"Remus, what's going on?" Hermione asked. Remus sighed.
"For reasons we're unsure of, it seems your parents have come back to life." Remus said to Violet.
"I'm sorry?" Violet asked.
"Your parents have come back to to life." Remus repeated.
"How do you know?" Hermione asked.
"Sirius and I went to Godric's Hollow last night and James and Lily were standing in front of their graves." Remus asked.
"I thought resurrection was impossible." Ginny said.
"It is." Remus answered. "Or was."
"Are they here?" Hermione asked.
"They're downstairs." Remus said with a nod.
Everyone looked at Violet, who stood there speechless.
"Violet?" Hermione said.
"Violet, please say something." Remus said.
"What do you want me to say, Remus!?" Violet exclaimed. "You just told me that my parents, who are meant to be dead, are alive. Do you expect me to believe that!?"
"I know it's difficult to understand." Remus said.
Violet was holding her head and started swaying.
"Woah." Remus said, catching her before she fell. "Ginny, go get some water please."
Ginny rushed downstairs.
"Violet, are you alright?" Remus asked, concerned.
"I think so." Violet replied.
"Are you sick or feeling ill?" Hermione asked.
"No." Violet said. "At least not until I heard the news."
Ginny came back with water.
"Thank you, Ginny." Remus said, taking the water and handing it to Violet. "Sip."
Violet sipped the water. Remus sighed.
"I'm sorry, Violet." Remus said. "I was trying to tell you this without causing you stress."
"Are you sure it's her parents and not Death Eaters impersonating them?" Hermione asked.
"They certainly look like Harry and Violet." Ginny said. "I walked into the kitchen and thought it was Harry."
"Yes, there's quite a resemblance." Remus said.
"How are you able to tell they're really James and Lily?" Hermione asked.
"As you know, James, Sirius, and Peter are animagus." Remus started. "No one can ever replicate someone's animagus form. I asked James to turn into his animagus form and he did."
Hermione nodded before looking to Violet. "Did you want to go downstairs?" She asked.
"I don't know if I'm ready to see them." Violet said, panicking. "I've gone fourteen years that they were dead. I need time to process this."
"That's alright, Violet." Remus said. "You don't have to see them until you're ready."
Violet nodded. The three helped Violet down the stairs and into the library.
"I'll have my Mum make up a plate for you." Ginny said.
"Hermione, could you stay with Violet for a little bit?" Remus asked. "I don't want to leave her alone."
"Of course." Hermione said.
Remus followed behind Ginny. "Sirius, I need to speak with for a moment." He said, pulling him away from the Potters and into the hallway. "You too, Cedric."
Cedric followed behind them.
"We need to hold off on Violet seeing James and Lily." Remus said. "She's not ready to see them and she got dizzy and almost fainted when I mentioned they were back."
"Where is she?" Cedric asked.
"In the library with Hermione." Remus said. "I didn't want her alone. Ginny's having Molly make a plate of breakfast for her."
"I'll bring it to her." Cedric said.
"We can keep James and Lily distracted from wanting to see Violet." Sirius said.
A few minutes later, Cedric walked into library with a plate of food and peppermint tea.
"Thank you for keeping her company, Hermione." Cedric said.
"No problem." Hermione said, leaving.
"You alright?" Cedric asked Violet.
Violet shook her head and started to cry.
"Shh, it's okay." Cedric said, comforting her.
Violet continued to cry into his shoulder.
