I also include self-harm, so if that will trigger you, I suggest that you not read that chapter, I will put a warning at the beginning of the chapter to let you now. Snape's POV
Another year of teaching Potions, and another year of being tormented by students. The students should be arriving soon and I heard that we got a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, I wonder who it is?
Lupin's POV
I just got finished unpacking my boxes for the classroom, when a man walked in. He was dressed in all black and had shoulder length greasy, black hair. He had a smug look on his face. I knew exactly who this man was. Severus Snape, the boy I used to "bully" back when the gang was all here and not dead or in prison for doing nothing.
"Hello, Remus. You must be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." He said with a snarl. Still the same old Severus.
"Severus. And yes, I am. I have a feeling that this year is going to be fun." I joked. Severus just looked at me, with fury in his eyes, and walked out of the room.
Students were due to arrive any minute now, and I have to get to the Great Hall. I was wrong, this year is going to be pure hell.
Snape's POV
I watched the students pour into the Great Hall like potion into a test tube. And first years standing and gawking at the moving pictures or the moving ceiling. Professor McGonagall sorted the first years, Dumbledore said a few words, and the feast began. I got some Roasted Chicken, mixed vegetables, and a piece of bread. I poured some Pumpkin Juice into my goblet, then someone sat beside me.
"Sorry I'm late, kinda got lost. Mind if I sit here." Of course it would be Remus.
"I don't care. Go ahead, you already are." I said, stabbing the chicken. I wasn't really hungry, but with students and other professors watching me, I had to put something on my plate and pretend I was eating.
I scanned the room. Potter and his gang were having a joyous conversation. It's not that I dint like Potter, I just don't like his attitude, it's just like his father's. Always wanting to be the hero, but not wanting to any work.
Remus was mindlessly picking at his food, not eating either. I drank some Pumpkin Juice, got up, and walked out of the Great Hall through the back exit. Only to be followed by Remus.
"What do you want?" I asked. He looked at me with deep regret.
"I need you to make me a potion close to the full moon. You know why, and I know you do. Please, Severus." He asked. I really shouldn't fell sorry for him, but I do.
"Fine." I said. I'm only doing it because I feel sorry for him.
"Thanks, and sorry to bother you with this, but you're the only person who could help me." He said. A small smile escaped his lips, and I realized how goofy his smile was.
Lupin's POV
"The only person who could help me." I said, a small smile appeared on my lips. Severus stared at me for a long time.
"Your welcome. Look, this fighting in the past is making things really awkward and I think we should just put it all behind us." He put out his hand. "Friends?" He asked. I took his hand.
"Friends." I said, looking into his eyes. I just realized how beautiful they were.
What? You can't have feelings for Severus Snape! Are you mental? I asked myself.
No, he just asked to be friends, we might could be something. What was I thinking?
Don't get tour hopes up. I told myself. But deep down, there was still hope.
