TW - PARENTS ARGUING
As i feel the cool breeze coming from my opened window which forces me to wake up from my nap i hear the faint sounds of doors slamming and voices being raised.
I turn my covers over to look for my phone to check for the time: 3:45pm.
Well at least it wasn't earlier in the morning.
I rub my eyes and stretch to try and awaken myself yet i am met with the feeling of a dry mouth and no water available on my bedside table. Great. Now i have to leave my safe space to go get water.
As i try and stand up i fall back down on my bed after being scared by the sound of a door slamming and hearing the words of the deep
voice of my father shouting
"YOU ACT LIKE I DID SOMETHING TO YOU! IT'S A FUCKING WASTE OF TIME TRYING TO TALK TO YOU BECAUSE ITS LIKE TALKING TO A BRICK WALL!! YOU WANT ME TO GO SO BAD I WILL"
It's a reoccurring things. All day, every day i hear my parents arguing over stupid things and my father threatening to leave the house yet he never does?
In all this discomfort in the house, there is one thing i find the most comforting. A stream from my favourite streamer and musician Wilbur Soot.
He has been one of the people keeping me going through this whole shit show and i wish one day i could thank him for everything he's done for me.
Once i hear the argument die down i feel like this is the time i should get a drink so i can no longer feel this dehydrated.
Just as i step out of my bedroom and make my way downstairs, i see my mother in the kitchen. She's a very distant person to me and sometimes i think she doesn't even love me but surely she does. Right?
While i fill up my water bottle i hear her start to lecture me. Some days i just tune her out by listening to Lovejoy but this time i couldn't.
"AVA IT IS 3:50pm WHAT ARE YOU DOING ONLY JUST WAKING UP? JUST GO AWAY I CANNOT EVEN LOOK AT YOU"
Part of me just wanted to scream back at her but the other part of me just seemed confused as to what i actually did wrong, i didn't even see her for more than 5 minutes today and she's already shouting at me.
I feel my eyes starting to water a little so i just run to my bedroom. My safe space.
