I Promise

Previously -
Y/N signed a contract with Marlene king. Lauren got angry and told you to do whatever. Dinah is heartbroken because her bff left and Y/N is being ignorant about what Lauren said.

Lauren's POV
How could she. Why would she just sign a contract and walk right out of our lives. Who the hell does she think she is. Just because we're only friends doesn't mean I don't care about her. I need her. We need her. Please come back Y/N.

Dinah's POV
"Y/N wait!!!" I yell as I chase after her. When I catch up to I was expecting tears but I was wrong.

"Please don't leave me" I plead. Her face goes from 100-0 real quick.

"I don't want to D but I have to" she replies.

"No. No you don't. Don't listen to Lauren. She's just afraid of losing you"

"Well she clearly doesn't since she said all of that to me a while ago"

"No. Listen to me. We all love you, including Lo. Don't throw away all that we've built" I pull her into my arms so she can't escape.

"Dinah stop. Let go" Y/N says but I can tell she was struggling to get it out.

"No. Never. Only if you agree to staying together" I say squeezing her tighter.

"Dinah. LET GO!!!" Y/N screams only making me grip her even more.

"No. No no no" I repeat over and over.

Soon enough I felt an extra pear of arms around me pulling me away.

"No no no let me go" I cry.

"Shhh baby girl it's okay" I think ally whispers.

"Let her go" ally adds.

"You should listen to her D" Y/N says.

"Hey what the hell is your problem Y/N. Your best friend is on the verge of tears and your not making it any better. Maybe Lauren was right. Go live your perfect life because we're obviously not in it" Camila almost screams.

"Mila stop" I demand.

"No she deserves it"

"Why? Because she's leaving us or is it because she's leaving you" ally snaps releasing me from her embrace.

"That has nothing to do-"

"Cut the crap Camila, we all know you're still in love with her"

"IM NOT!!"

"YES YOU ARE I'VE SEEN IT STOP LY-" ally was soon cut off by Y/N.

"NO. She isn't. Well not with me" She says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Camila may be in love. Just not with me. Anymore."

"What are you trying to say" ally asks confused.

"I don't think it's my place to tell you. You should probably ask her" Y/N replies pointing to Camila.

I look over in her direction and she her eyes are widened.

"Mila?"

"I-I can explain-"

"Is that why you're leaving? Is it because Mila doesn't love you anymore. In that way" I ask.

I watch as Y/N lowers her head.

"No. But it's part of the reason" she whispers.

"Well then you can have your space from her. Just not to long. How about we make a deal?" I offer. Y/N nods and I continue with what I want to propose.

"You can take a break from us. Do what ever you have to do, but you have to promise me that you'll be back in time for the neon lights tour because I want to share this experience with my best friend" I say walking towards Y/N at a reasonable distance. She thinks for a minute before finally coming up with an answer.

".......Alright. I'll do it, but you have to promise me something" she says.

"Anything" I reply excitedly. I see Y/N lean closer allowing her hot breath to hit my ear causing me to shiver.

"Keep an eye on Camila and Lauren for me" she whispers. I frown my eyebrows but agree. I'll just ask her about it later.

"I really have to go though. Shay and my family are waiting for me" Y/N says before pecking me on the cheek.

"See you soon girls. And again, I'm sorry. I just need time to process this" we all nod in understanding before she gives each of us an individual hug and walks off.

You better keep your promise Y/N.

Lauren's POV
I was currently on the beach looking out at the moon when I heard a noise.

"Who's there" I say as my heart began beating like crazy.

"Who do you want to be there?" A familiar voice says.

"Stop playing tell me who you are"

"You know who I am. I just want you to say it"

"Say what?" I ask.

"Say that you want me here and I'll be there"

"I-I........i want you here Y/N" I whisper as she reveals herself.

"I thought you wanted me to live my perfect life"

"I didn't mean that. I was angry and hurt. I needed you and hearing that you were leaving tore me apart" I cry.

"I'm sorry I just- I couldn't stand that fact that I would have to wake up and see two people that I deeply love, look at each other the way I used to look at them"

"What does that mean" I ask confused.

"I- I know about you and mila"

My eyes widen at her words.

"H-how'd you"

"I caught you two in a stall with your faces really close together"

"Y/N it's not what it looked like. We didn't kiss I swear"

"You could of fooled me"

"I'm serious we didn't. you were her first kiss and her only one. Yeah there might be some feelings but, she isn't ready. And to be honest. Neither am I" I state causing Y/N lock eyes with me.

"I loved you Y/N. I still do, unconditionally. But I know you'll never be mine so.....i just thought. Why not move on with someone else. Camz was thinking the same thing. We were there at the same time and things kinda just happened" I say letting my heart pour out to her.

"I love you too Lo. I just- I agree. I'll never be yours and you'll never be mine cause that's just how it has to work"

"But why. Why won't you be with me" I beg.

"Because if we're together, we'll just end up hurting each other, I know this because of the first day we met. You broke my heart because I thought to myself. This girl man, she's gonna make me fall for her and I'm afraid of that because what if I do the same to her? I'd rather have my heart stepped on 1 million times then see myself hurt anyone else. I'd rather be the the dumpee then see the person I once loved hurt because of me" Y/N says with a perfect explanation on who she is.

"So you would let me break your heart to save mine?" I ask in awe.

"Yes. That's kinda why I have to go. But only for a little while"

"So your not going for good?"

"Never in a million years would I leave you"

"I love you too much" she adds as she brings me into a loving hug. It wasn't romantic or simple. It was an actual hug. A hug that you could melt into.

"I love you too" I reply meaning it more than I should but she doesn't have to know that.
