Episode 3: Missing Links

Pop: Poison is a magic transmutation potion that turns people into corpses.

Elf: This knife is actually a magic wand.

Y/n: Meet me in the Denny's parking lot for a wizard duel.

Spyro: *cocks gun* Magic missile.

JV: What the fuck is wrong with you people.

(A/n: This is one of my favorite episodes in the series and I was pretty excited to write this chapter because I watch the episodes for the dialogue and events, so I get to hear DanTDM as A skylander, again, also this is the catchphrase episode and I've been waiting to use the catchphrases.)

Elf: I know we haven't been a team for very long, but we fought some pretty major bad guys, so A little fire viper shouldn't be a problem.
Pop: Definitely not!
JV: Though I do take issue with the word "Little"
He points up at the giant fire viper in the sky coming at them.
Spyro: It's just a giant-sized fire breathing snake, I got this.
He flew up and prepared to blast it, but was knocked back by a giant ball of fire.
Spyro: Or not.
Y/n: Alright, my turn!
He ran up the sides of one of the pillars and jumped when he reached the top, then locked onto the fire viper mentally and dashed at it in his balled up state, though instead of hitting the giant snake, it opened its mouth and ate him, then spit him out at the ground in front of the others.
Y/n: Or not.
Elf: Alright, fastest thing alive, how about some actual evasive moves? Watch and learn!
She teleported towards the snake, then back when it tried biting down, before teleporting up and slashing at it with her two blades, then getting knocked away by its tail.
Elf: Or not.
Eruptor: Yo pal, I'm gonna use my-!
The Fire Viper smacked the entire team away with its tail landing on the steps in front of where Spyro was smacked too, Eruptor landing on the left, Pop Fizz in the middle, and Jet Vac on the right. Y/n landed at the bottom, and Stealth Elf landed on top of him.
Eruptor: Or not.
JV: Or not.
One of Pop Fizz's potions landed on the ground next to them, covering them all in A green goop.
Pop: Or not.
The viper circled around them and prepared to attack, before the hologram turned off.
Team: Awww/Magma.
Eon: Womp womp, Magma indeed, I've never assembled a Skylander team who's failed the fire viper training simulation this many times.
Hugo: But cheer up gang, you should be proud you set a record for something!
The team looked down at the ground, except for Pop Fizz, who was actually excited.

*At the Thinking Rocks*

Spyro: Come on, Spyro, that fire viper simulation is the most basic one, I mean it's the only monster we could actually run into without even leaving the academy.
Elf: Totally, if we can't even beat that, we're not much of A team.
Spyro: Oh, hey I thought I was the only one who came here to think deep thoughts.
Elf: Really? Because it's kind of the only serene contemplative spot on the isle.
Eruptor: Totally.
Pop: Yep.
JV: What she said.
Y/n: It's not the most peaceful place to think, but it gets the job done.
JV: I've actually been coming here since I was a cadet.
Pop: And the clouds really help me focus, like that one that's shaped like A fire viper- AAH!
He falls backward off his rock.
Spyro: Well I'm glad everyone else is as thoughtful and self-reflective as up until now I thought only I was.
Elf: Well thinking about the Fire Viper simulation isn't beating the Fire Viper simulation, so, what are we going to do?
Eon: I might have an idea about that. I have things to think about too, you know, like what to do now that Kaos knows the location of the core of light.
Spyro: Ooh, yeah that is A thinker, but, uh, if you had a plan to help us beat the fire viper simulation, maybe we could do that first, huh?

*At the Skylanders Academy Library*

Eon: Skylanders, I am concerned that Kaos's increasing plots and schemes suggest a growing darkness in our realm, so I've asked one of my oldest allies, Sensei King Pen, to help me deal with it, but I believe he can help you too.
Y/n: Sensei! It's good to see you again.
King Pen: Y/n, I hope your training has been doing you good.
