Samantha POV

Everything about her makes me go crazy and I couldn't able to hold my thoughts around her. I can't let go of her, even if it means giving up my life. She's my most precious thing. Once she woke up, I give her peck on her red face. She always looks adorable to me but at that movement I couldn't imagine my life without her. We cuddle for sometime until we hear a knock on the door & one of her friend inform us to join for lunch.

As long as I remember in my life, I never saw such a harmony environment and I realize how much I yearn for such thing in my life. Once we settled on the table, I saw how Sophie was organizing Emily's plate and Joseph was talking to Emily while making sure she didn't go anywhere. This is not the first time, but I have noticed that how Emily's behavior is different. She lacks attention a lot and is quite forgetful most of time and her edginess was cherry on top.

After lunch Sammy, Joseph and Emily play video game and I couldn't stop laughing how within a minute Emily keep walking away from the game when she realizes she is losing a game. She was fragile that needs the attention. I never realized that when Sophie sat beside me until she clear her throat which suddenly gain my attention.

"Hey, do you mind if we could talk now?"

"Sure, why not? May I know what would like to talk about?" I asked her politely, even though I could feel a burst of nervousness inside me.

Okay, no beating around the bush. Until now, you have realized something is off about Emily and that's because she has ADHD since childhood. I want to know if you could take care of her as she constantly needs someone to take care of her. I might come across as rude, but she means a lot to us like a child, and we'll always support her, even if it's challenging. If you find it difficult to handle her, it's best to step back now because she genuinely likes you.

I felt a sudden urge to hold her in my hand and never let her go at this point in my life. I never knew how hard her life was until now, but I don't want her to suffer at all.

"Hello, you there?"

"I am sorry about it. Well, may I know more about her triggers, if you don't mind?"

"See, there is nothing much triggering except bullying. Bullying in school was a constant trigger for her because of her problem, resulting in panic attacks and a potential need for hospitalization. Once this group pours a cold water her on her and she keeps standing there for an hour until she got hypothermia. She gets extremely agitated, so never let her go to unknown places at all."

I don't know how long Sophie keeps talking while all I could focus on her. She smiles like everything is perfect in the world when she keeps suffering from this world. Life is not fair, but she makes me believe we can smile even when we have little. After some time, Emily practically sprinted towards me, bouncing with childlike excitement.

"Sunshine, let's go to bed. You look tired."

"No, I don't want you to leave right now." She asked with such a sad face.

"No dear, I was hoping to stay with you tonight if you want it."

"Really, then we can have game night. Okay, I have so many games, but all of them are so busy so I couldn't play any of them until now." She said with an excitement.

There was a time when I have spent endless nights with different people and no one has ever thought to do anything except take me to bed and have sex with me. Here I was holding the person in bed while all I could feel was calmness and peace within me. Emily snuggled tightly while wrapped my hands around her. I could feel her calm breath and I wish to protect her always.
