Emily walked into the BAU in an early morning. It was 5 am and everyone was already gathered in the round table room. As Emily quickly scurried of, she noticed a bunch of red roses on her table.

But in to much of a rush, 'I'll deal with then when I get back' she thought to herself.

When she got back the roses were gone, and after such a tough case Emily didn't even remember them in the first place.

The Team entered the bullpen. The last week and a half were spent in Calafronia catching a killing duo. Between all the work and the sweltering heat, the team was done. But the reports needed to be done.

They all reluctantly sat down and began to work. Emily was the first finished in 30 minutes. Just as she was about to set sail, Anderson walked in carrying a bouquet of roses. Yellow. He put them down on Emily's desk then said. "Prentiss these came for you."

Emily looked at the roses. She immediately stopped and looked at them, and then at Anderson. "Anderson, Do you know who sent them" Emily picks up the card. On it there was an image of Gold Scales. 

"No. It was a delivery guy" Anderson says. The rest of the team had focused their attention on the scene in front. 

Emily immediately recognises the symbol. She thinks back and remembers getting a bunch of Red Roses 3 weeks ago. Shit. This was bad.

She was pulled out of thought when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Morgan stood beside her. "What is it Prentiss?" He asked

When she looked at him, he noticed the tears in her eyes. She reached into her pocket and called a number. 

The team hear her mutter, "They're back..........Roses on my desk.............The symbol..........There was a card."

While she was on the phone Derek had taken the card from her hand. Once he examined it, he passed it to Hotch, then Rossi. When Emily finished the call, Rossi was the first to speak.

"What happened Bella?"

Emily takes the card back from him. "This symbol, was the one used by a group of people in Europe, about 20 years ago. They kill people, who in their eye tipped the scales of justice. They would leave this symbol, to claim the kill and to show that the scales were tipped to balance. The group never officially had a name, they disappeared after the killing of an American Foreign Minister, in Yemen."

"Why are they targeting you?" Hotch asks

"Because the foreign minister who was killed, was my father" Emily says

It took a second for the shock to set into the team. "You've never talked about him before" Spencer says. 

"It wasn't necessary, I was 22 when he died" Emily's focus falls on the roses

"What do the roses mean?" JJ breaks the silence. 

"We couldn't communicate, so he would send me rose to tell me information" 

"Like what?" Rossi ask

"Red roses meant a month, Yellow meant one week, White, was to be sent in order of his death."

The team worked the case. But after 3 days they still had nothing. On the 4rth day, there was a single white rose left on Emily's desk. But Emily was nowhere to be seen. Her apartment was left empty, her desk still untouched. Inside the drawer was left her phone, badge and gun. 

After Ian Doyle Emily was never the same, she was hollow, empty. And this was her way out. 

Whether she died or she just disappeared the team would never find out
