It was only supposed to be a regular night out. You know, just taking a walk in the woods? Or maybe not so regular to other people but I guess to me it's always been a comfortable place. Almost like it calls to me, my home per se. Usually nothing ever goes wrong; key word here is usually. Nothing happens, it's just your average walk, but not tonight.

"What in the hell is that?" was the only thing that had left my mouth. It was hardly even a whisper; I was straight up confused. It was only a split second, like a blur I guess but I could've sworn I saw glowing eyes? Maybe I'm just going crazy here.

My heart started to race as I kept shifting my head in every direction. Something was here with me, and I don't think it's your average animal, or maybe it was? Maybe I was just being paranoid, and my eyes were just playing tricks on me because I'm a little tired. Yeah, that's it I'm just seeing things.

Shaking my head I was definitely wrong because I saw it again. It stood in front of me but at a distance and I could see its yellow glowing eyes stare back at me. This is it isn't it. I'm about to die.

Suddenly, I felt my head pounding and I don't mean like a regular kind of headache. It

felt as if my head was being torn apart. All I could do was fall to my knees in agony, writhing in pain. I was so consumed by it that I never noticed that whatever I saw was still watching me in the distance, lurking in the shadows. However, that's not what I was worried about in this particular moment.

Yet to the gods I now thank, it suddenly stopped, leaving me panting, hands buried in the earth beneath me, head to the ground. 'What the hell?' I thought to myself. The fuck just happened? I've never felt pain like that before. It let me feeling crippled, helpless on the dirt and sticks of the forest ground and then? I have no clue. I don't remember anything else that happened that night but what I do know is that my life had forever changed after.

My name is Riven Campbell and this? Well, all I can say it's gets crazy from here, but I could've sworn I've felt those eyes on me before though.
