Struggle (Part 2)

AFTER THE MISSION

(Mika, Miles, Bose are covered in syrup and butter.)

 "Ugh, I can't believe we got covered in all this syrup and butter," Mika groaned. "This is a sticky situation, for sure," Miles added. "I think I've got pancake batter in my hair," Ray complained. Bose chimed in, "How did we even end up like this?" "I blame Jeff. He's really outdone himself this time," Mika said. "We need to find a way to clean up and catch Jeff," Bose declared. 

."The police will just end up releasing him again. We'll just have to wait until he commits another crime," Ray added wearily. Suddenly, Chapa emerged from the 900 rooms door, yawning. "Ello," she said, causing everyone to scream in surprise, jolting them out of their tired state. Their mission had taken all day due to Jeff's slippery escape tactics, spraying slippery stuff on the ground and on himself to evade Danger Force.

"Hi Chapa, where have you been?" Mika says. "What have you been up to?" Miles says at the same time. "Stop talking when I'm talking! Stop copying me!" Mika and Miles say, starting to bicker, with Ray watching with Schwoz while eating popcorn. "Not going to say hi to me, Ray?" Chapa says, wondering where Schwoz came from. "Hi, Tammy," Ray waves her off while watching intensely at the twins bickering. "My name's not Tammy," Chapa grumbles. Bose walks up to her and says, "Where have you been? Bose says. Uh..now that our parents know that we're in Danger Force, my mom has been taking extra precautions. She makes sure I get enough sleep, but I didn't. So, she cuddled with me to try to get me to sleep, but it wasn't really successful."

"Insomnia and superhero work really don't work together," Chapa says. "I could help you sleep," Bose says hesitantly. "Really?" Chapa says. "Yeah," says Bose. "Okay, there's a bed in the man nest that I usually try to sleep in during our time here," Chapa says, grabbing his hand and taking him through the 900 room door. As they walk through the door, they don't realize that the whole time, everyone was actually looking at them. Ray and the rest of the team exchange glances, curious about what Chapa and Bose are up to. Unbeknownst to them, their actions have piqued the interest of their fellow superheroes.
