Ethan and Pluto are wandering around at the courtyard as they take in the scenery, the two of them are awed of how the place is looked.
"Wow... I didn't know this place could've been this big." Said Ethan with awe and wonder
"Yeah..." Said Pluto as she looks around
They wander around in silence for a moment and Ethan starts to speak.
"Hey Pluto, do you remember the time we first met in the orphanage?" Said Ethan as he glances at Pluto
"Hm? Yeah, of course I remember the first time we met, you were exactly 11 years old and you were bashful back then." Said Pluto
"And that's how I met you, I remember that time you threw the bread at me and I was so sloppy from not catching it." Said Ethan as he softly sighs
"You even steal things in the kitchen just so we can share some food for each other." Said Ethan
Pluto Gazes at Ethan and she nods slowly as she crosses her arms.
"Well I couldn't help it, just my habit you know?" Said Pluto
"And you sometimes pull pranks on the other kids in the orphanage." Said Ethan as he lightly chuckles
"And then you drag me into trouble with you." Said Ethan
"Hey! That's not true!" Said Pluto as she lightly punched his shoulder
They chuckle along with each other and eventually, Ethan looks down on the ground as he sighs deeply.
"But then... You got adopted first... And everyone else is adopted, no one wanted me." Said Ethan as he tuck his
Hands into the kangaroo pocket
"We didn't even say goodbye to each other, not even a single word from you..." Said Ethan
Pluto's expression turns solemn as she turns around to look away from him for a moment.
She shakes her head as she places her hand onto his shoulder for reassurance.
"Hey, I know we didn't say goodbye to each other and I'm sorry for that." Said Pluto
"Will you ever forgive me, Ethan?" Said Pluto as she tilts her head to the side
The boy nods as he gazes up at Pluto with a small smile on his face.
"Yeah, I forgive you... Now come on! We're going to be late at the ceremony." Said Ethan as he starts running
"Ethan, Wait for me!" Said Pluto as she follows him
Eventually they arrived at the Amphitheatre and it was really crowded and filled with new students, The two of them are surprised by who knows how many they are.
Ozpin is on stage while Glynda is standing next to him, He taps on the mic as he pushed up his glasses.
The mic rings, echoing through Main Avenue.
All of them suddenly became quiet as they watched and listened to Ozpin's welcoming speech for them.
"Ahem... I'll be keeping this brief." Said Ozpin
"You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills." Said Ozpin
"And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people." Said Ozpin
"But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy in need of purpose, direction." Said Ozpin
"You assume knowledge will free you of this but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far." Said Ozpin
