Chapter 2

The next early morning, while Momo, Sana, Mina, and Tzuyu got to their classroom, they saw Nayeon and Jeongyeon are already at their seats.

"Hey girls!" Nayeon said, padding the seat next to her for one of the girls.

"Morning, how do you feel after your first volleyball practice after the summer holiday?" Jeongyeon ask, taking a bite of Nayeon's sandwich from her desk, who is sitting behind her.

"Tired." The J-line said in unison.

Jeongyeon, Momo, and Mina took the seats in front of Nayeon, Tzuyu, and Sana.

"Captain really is captain," Sana sigh, place her bag at the side, "She is made differently."

"She did have a lot more experience than us," Mina said, already taking out her textbook out on her desk."

"Mina Unnie, already? It's literally still 7:35 in the morning," A voice said from behind, Chaeyoung took a seat next to the older girl.

"Morning, Jihyo and Dahyun." The girls said together, which Chaeyoung turns behind her, Jihyo took the seat behind the blonde girl while Dahyun took the seat next to the younger one.

"It's nice that our first class today is in the lecture hall," Dahyun said with a bright smile.

"Because you need to have a run to the music department building earlier and the lecture hall is so much closer than our classrooms?"

Dahyun answer with a nod, still a little bit too breathless to say anything more.

Sana quickly noticed it is the big instrument case on the girl's bag instead of her school bag, "You have to find the music teacher this morning?"

"Yeah, she need to, and I just went with her" Jihyo answer for her, as Dahyun place her bags at the side of her seat, "The teacher wants to help her to tune the violin after the 2 month holiday."

"Violin?" Tzuyu ask curiously.

"Yeah," Jeongyeon said with a teasing smile, "Don't tell me Tzuyu you not only surprised us that you know volleyball, and that you know the violin as well?"

The youngest one quickly shakes her head.

Nayeon lean her head towards Tzuyu's head by little, said "Dahyun is a violin player in the school's orchestra. And - Jeongyeon is just playing around with you, ignore her. "

"Im Nayeon! What do you mean by ignoring me -?"

"Like what I'm trying to do now."

"Anyways ..." Momo said, side eyeing at the two oldest one, those two cause everyone in the lecture hall to look at them.

"Oh yeah, where's Hani, by the way?" Mina ask, shifting her eyes between the different students in the room.

"Well, talking about this Unnie -" Chaeyoung said, let out a fake scared exhale, "Good luck tomorrow, Tzuyu."

All the girls around put their eyes now on the youngest one, who is still puzzled, "What do you mean?"

"You really have no idea, do you?" Jihyo ask, Tzuyu nods hesitantly.

"Since last year, Haneul is not only famous for being the best volleyball player, but also for setting a really high standards for new members." Sana said.

"Don't know how is it towards to the others ..." Nayeon and Jeongyeon quickly joined the conversation, "When she's selecting new teammates, she could be - cruel at it."

"In the second semester of the last school year," Chaeyoung continues, "The school give all the school teams to let them have a change to get new members."

"There are a lot of people want to join the TWICE volleyball team, since it is the most successful volleyball team of the school." Jihyo said.

"The amount of people is just - wow, couldn't even manage to count the amount of people that came for the tryouts." Momo said proudly.

Dahyun said, "We could see Haneul is waiting patiently for all the students to finish their rounds, but when we ask her on anyone that she think is good -"

"- She said 'non of them', and also tells us about we have enough members already." Jeongyeon finished.

"But I mean, thinking about it," Mina said, turn to look at the girls around her, "I understand her views now, the tryouts last year is actually for the teams to fill up the gaps for the senior students that are graduating soon, right?

And look at us now, we are all still here, so Haneul must have the feeling of there's no need of new members - besides, last year the student's performance at the tryouts are ... you know"

The girls all nodded in agreement.

Sana bump Tzuyu's shoulders softly, she smiles and glance at Mina in front of her, "See? You understand why I said Mina is the brain of ours now?"

Tzuyu nod, "So in grades, out of the 9 of you is Mina the first -?"

"Ah ah ah, Tzu," Momo smiles, looking over at Jihyo, "It is Jihyo who is the first when it comes to grades every single year."

"Yeah, she's the 1st every year on the board at the term exams." Jeongyeon said, "Which until now, I still have no idea how could she do it."

"And then the second it's Mina Unnie," Dahyun said with a grin.

"Good morning," A voice said behind, Haneul took the seat next to Jihyo, which is saved for her by the 9 girls of course.

"You are kind of late today," Nayeon said, "Later then your usual times."

"Yeah, sorry about that, I left my apartment late today." She said with a weak smile.

"You good?" Chaeyoung ask, a hit of worriedness in it.

"I'm alright, just slept late last night."

Jihyo hold Haneul's wrist as she noticed a bruise, but before she could be more confused, the younger one answers, "Ah, this? I bumped myself on the corner of the table this morning when I was rushing."

Mina shakes her head, "Be more careful, will you captain?"

"Sure sure, Unnie,"

Their first class went on smoothly, well, except for the Unnie line at the side, who keep bickering about which one is the best lunch meal set at the school cafeteria.

And as usual, Nayeon and Jeongyeon started it,

Momo joins when she could choose not to get involved,

Mina is the first one to got annoyed,

Haneul will remind them to keep quiet,

Jihyo will be the one to scold them,

Dahyun and Chaeyoung will comment about the whole situation.

And now Tzuyu will join in and savaged all of them.

It's just chaotic.
