We reached my parents house since tonight i feel like I'd like to stay for the night in my parents house in a while, as we've arrived we found my parents waiting on the porch. my step-mon, Mrs. yeejae, greeted us with a warm smile. yes it's my step mom, My real mother and father are separated for a long time now, both parties are in a good terms and there's no third party involvement. while i stay here in korea with my father and his new family, my mother lived in new Zealand where my mom's family side resides.

"It's so nice to see you, Jaekhyung dear. jiyoo has told us so much about you." my stepmom said in which jaekhyung brow connected lightly before turning his head in the other side where my father showed up.

Before i could say anything, my dad chimed in, "Why don't you come in? We were just about to have dinner. It would be great to have you both join us." my father sternly said as if it was a request but the truth is it's an order, but i can't just let jaekhyung be bother again, remembering how i make him put up with grandma a while ago so knowing that Jaekhyung might have other plans.

"Oh, it's okay, dad. Jaekhyung's probably busy with something else tonight." I said

My stepmom shook her head. "Nonsense, jiyoo. We want to get to know your boyfriend better. It's settled then, jaekhyung. You're joining us for dinner."
Jaekhyung glanced at me, i gave him an apologetic smile.

"I'm really sorry about this, my mom can be quite persuasive. "Jaekhyung scoff.

"aight, but I'm afraid you need to help me relieve some stress tonight, after all i didn't put up with this for free" I jumped a little when he secretly slap my ass earning a tiny squeak from me. he then walked ahead following my stepmom behind.

As the dinner progressed, my father and stepmom engaged me and jaekhyung in light conversation, asking about our hobbies, schedules, work and interests, etc. Jaekhyung on the other hand answered politely, which is super unlikely of him.

Suddenly, father turned to Jaekhyung with a curious expression. "So, mr.joo, how long have you and my daughter jiyoo been together?"

Jaekhyung cleared his throat, exchanging a quick glance with me.

"We've been dating for about 4 months now, and please just call me jaekhyung."he said with straight face. it surprises me how he acts around my parent and gradma, he is usually a very rude person even to me but the way he acts around with my parent make me raise my brow.

mother nodded, her eyes twinkling with interest. "That's wonderful. Have you thought about your future together?'"

My eyes widened slightly, surprised by the directness of the question. Jaekhyung hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Well, we're both focused on our work at the moment, but we do care about each other a lot." he side eyeing me giving me a light smirk

Father nodded thoughtfully. "That's good to hear. Do you see marriage in your future?" i choked-why do everybody keeps asking us this kind of question as if they're rushing me. But Before Jaekhyung could respond, I interjected, My eyes filled with annoyance.

"Wait, Mom, where's yoohan? I didn't see him today I thought he'd be here for dinner." mother paused, her expression softening.

"Oh, sweetie, yoohan's spending the night at his grandma's. He'll be back tomorrow morning."
I nodded, relieved to know that the question about marriage vanished. I turn my attention back to Jaekhyung, hoping to steer the conversation away from the topic of marriage for now. silently savoring his foods.
